It's easy to let Sarah's instrumental and vocal prowess obscure the fact that she has become one of our best songwriters. Just in case you hadn't noticed, here's another undeniable demonstration of that.. What an beautifully written song; exquisitely played and sung, of course. Add John Leventhal, whose production work is second to none (see: Rosanne Cash) and a perfect fit for Sarah's style, and you get this absolute gem. Can't wait for the album release.
Been a fan for a few years now. I just knew Sarah was going to be one of the very best out there . Thanks Sarah for all the great memories listening to your music through my long journeys, and dark roads singing along driving through the mountains across America soul searching. God bless

I hear so many artists in this, it’s incredible. There’s some serious influence and world experience crafting something wholly original. Not at all what I expected, but I mean that with all the praise in the world. While I miss the bluegrassy/folk direction Song Up in Her Head led you along, I’m not at all sad to see how diverse of an artist you’ve become. Undercurrent’s success and Grammy wins only confirmed what I knew long before: you’re a musician worth paying attention to. I’m glad I randomly tuned into ACL all those years ago.

Incredible how much her musical palette has expanded on her last 2 albums. I think it's time she gets a full ensemble band to play live gigs with, including percussion and keyboards. And her voice has the polish of a royal jewel.
