one of the greatest films ive seen this century. now than can give him an open check. Lets see the how the others look in mirror after this movie. its a perfect piece of film art. the lesson to us all is to love to your core the subject. Abel has now become one of the greats and he did it his way. That is genius. The films coloring is devine. the acting is worth thinking about, because it transcends the boxes of perception. Encore !!

I disagree with your comment sir Abel Ferrara is a genius.
King of New York is not a piece of shit but even Ferrara is honest about the fact that much like Scarface it's a fantasy film as much as it is a gangster film.
I read a article on Ferrara were the journalist said something along the lines of; Ferrara would be more comfortable in a seedy backstreet in Brooklyn rather than at some flash Hollywood party.
I admire that in a sea of clinical serene filmmakers Ferrara is still fearless enough to take risks. We need more filmmakers like Ferrara who aren't in the business of filmmaking to make money.
