I have the behringer c1u and I had the samson c03. I think the c1u is better because the stereo image is better expanded, and the sound is more relaxed and almost does not need mastering. Nice video!

ten en cuenta que no es lo mismo grabar en mono y duplicar luego ese audio convirtiiéndolo en stereo, que grabar en stereo al principio. En la primer opción vas a tener un audio duplicado a la derecha e izquierda exactamente iguales, pero en la segunda el audio va a ser diferente en la izquierda y derecha dando la verdadera sensación stereo. Saludos!

I have the Samson C01U since maybe 8 years, and the point is the "parasite" (noise) sound on the mic is just horrible. No matter what you do, you always have the noise sound. Crazy to see how the Samson Pro have none of this. I wanted to buy an XLR this time (Shure) but finally, i think im gonna try this one first.
Thanks for the Samson reviews! Was looking for a decently cheap usb microphone myself, such as the snowball or a similar mic just for overall gaming, skype etc. But went with the Samson C01u Pro(technically overkill but oh well) due hearing so much good about it, and it actually being on sale here atm for only about 65 bucks.
How's it been with it since then?

Samson C01 or Behringer C1?

Samson ftw. I've trusted their products for years, my Samson XLR condenser lasted me 11 years, having it's fair share of falls and sub-optimal storing conditions. I also think their headphones sound excellent for the price.
Have you ever bought the same Samson model twice or more times? If so, I would appreciate your comments on their quality consistency.
Did those products sound very much the same?
@@MrSan-mm6px No, but you can search for more sound tests in youtube and you will see that the quality is very good compared to others of the same price range. The only Samson issue I've had was with a USB condenser mini microphone (Samson GoMic) but I'm pretty sure it was my fault in that case. I took it for a trip and stored it in a backpack in the back of a car, never worked again. Condensers are very sensible. Then the other though lasted me 11 years and I have a friend who has the USB C01 pro and its been going for six if that helps your decision. Also, there's no doubt in my mind Samson > Behringer. Hope that helps.

They sounded the same, but Samson has much less noise and that's important - you can get along without any voice postprocessing and cleanup.
However, the noise on both is clean, without those nasty digital noises present in cheap computer microphones. So, Behringer is also a good choice.

YES! Finally... i found the perfect mic for me... after my blue yeti managed to break itself after about 8 months i decided to buy a cheaper mic, and NOT spend more money on a mic that i dont need and will probably break... so in that case i will get the C01u pro. Sounds like a great mic for overall discord, recording games and of course the main thing MUSIC so yeah i currently have the snowball but i feel like the sound of it isnt really warm. I like warm sounding mics so im just gonna get that c01u pro since its a good price for the sound it offer you
Behringer 37 euro - Samson 98 Euro.... Behringer my choice.. Human voice 200-2000 Hertz... It's difficult to hear sound quality difference . Sound volume can be adjusted. If we compare spectrum Behringer I think is better. Thank you for the video.

Is the Samson c01u plug and play? Do you need some sort of audio interface or do you just connect the Samson c01u to your USB port?
You should just connect it to usb port. May need to download drivers from samson, but I didn't have to on my MAC.

As c01u user I just need to admit that Windows 10 and 8 have problems with this mic. You will need to rise up volume in control panel what leads to little(or big, depends on volume boost) quality loss.

If you haven't, please compare the Samson C01U Pro with the LyxPro LDC10 -- which I purchased cheap the day before Amazon raised the price--making me wonder if it's in the same league with the 2 mics in this video.) Anyway, your demo influenced me to return the LyxPro and replace my broken Yeti with the Samson C01U Pro. To me the C01U Pro is worth the xtra just for the headphone jack. Throw in its super cardioid focus (better rejection of ambient sound for a quiet studio effect), and finally its superior power (which seems closer to the 48V recommended for phantom power). It's an easy choice--except for the Samson G Track. The same mic at the same price--with extra holes, wheels and knobs, but only one (volume)that looked practical. The C01 Pro looks like the leaner and meaner bet.

I have recently bought the Samson C01u pro but it is not as loud as yours. I have to set the volume to 90% when I speak into it. Do you have any tips for this issue?

3:55 and 4:02 a bit different positions of both guitars which rubs off on the sound recording, making the later mic sound better (even if it is).

Does setting the volume for behringer c1u to 100% affect its sound quality? I'm wondering why you said setting to 75% is decent volume. Any explanation is appreciated :) Because I used to set the volume to 100% for recording and if its affecting the sound really bad then I literally need to change the volume level settings.
I had to set the gain to 75% to get a decent recording level. Yes recording at a high gain will add extra line noise to your recording.

Hello, I am using the Samson CO1U to record vocals directly into FL Studio using my laptop, but I'm getting a loud buzz/humming (not ambient noise)..I've tried every solution under the sun to no avail..Do you know of any solutions or have any recommendations?

I've had issues with both mics. They both have a bad hiss, the Samson mic quite louder than the C1 mic. I ended up buying an AT2020 for 150$ and I've been using it ever since in my music.
Audio quality is about the same, but the Samson has much less background noise.

Acustic guitar shows the most dramatic difference. Samson winds hands down. There's also less noise. I only ended up here because I just saw a picture of Behringer C3, and was like, wait a minute, Behringer is copying Samson now? (which is supposed to be a cheap mic in the first place).
Yeah this is a super old video, but I recently compared the C1u to the C01u and the noise on the Behringer was a lot louder.
The Behringer still is not a bad budget mic at all.. Good comparison though.
My choice is C01U Pro, because it's more balanced, than C-1U
you should get one of those mechanical keyboard switch testing things, since a lot of people using these mics are gamers. most people will be using a mechanical keyboard instead of a Mac keyboard

@podcastage just plugged into pc with usb? no converters or audio interfaces for both? I consider buying samson but should i buy audio interface? i'll use other mics like omnidirectional sometimes to have different records as well, i wonder if using audio interface with samson makes difference?
You CANNOT plug a USB mic into an audio interface. There is NO WAY to do it. These are plugged into a USB port. That's it.

Why are these mics always cheaper in USA???? I just can't understand that. Is the rest of the world such a shithole we can't get decent prices?
Because the USA doesn't have VAT.
Also, you can find them for cheap on Aliexpress - no VAT for China, either.
But if you decide to buy from there, you might have to pay VAT anyway if customs determine that the price is higher than some limit, specific to your country.

guys, I had samson from ali, but I sold it and buy at2020 cause, samson makes very high digital noise like -25 -30 db, on 60% loudness (if put lower then cannt hear anything), so its looks like windows driver not 100% good,

You should've used ASIO plugin on Windows 10. The default win10 plugin(Realtek) is total trash for recording purposes.

Behringer is a no for me in general based solely on the fact that their lineup consists 100% of knockoffs. That said, the design of the C01U Pro looks suspiciously similar to of the Neumann mics.
