I like to think that Frostwhisper failing to step up and teach Jumblepaw twice stems from a hesitancy to have another apprentice at all after what happened to Willowdeer and Quailhail. After all, if the skills he passed down while he was in his prime weren’t enough to save his former apprentices when they became warriors, would he just be cursing Jumblepaw to a similar fate? But already it appears Frost and Jumble are connecting given how the third attempt at training was a success!
Yeah, I'm sure there is a lot of hesitation there; it may also be hitting a bit harder now that he's a father and his kits are going through the same thing. I can definitely see the pressure getting to him!
