Ualll!
Poor Frank. I really feel bad for him. He tried real hard to be good to Claire, gave her everything he thought she needed, accepted her back and loved her child, yet she wouldn't even let him hold her hand. She didn't need to fake passion for him, but she could have been blandly kind to him, not distant and rejecting. Yes, at this point she was still deep in mourning for the love of the century, but Frank tried hard.
Except when Black Jack came through when Claire says the baby is Jamie's that was scary if I was her I would have ran to Mrs.Baird, and stayed with her till I could get back to the stones, and Lollybrach!
@@marshabass3393 Yes, that was close. I suppose Claire had seen enough of angry men and warrior men to trust that he would be safe enough in future. He'd learned to control it. But it's a good thing she didn't try to go back. Without modern medicine the baby would have died, like Faith did, and likely Claire too.
@@21stellaluna The book didn't say specifically, just that Claire was told by her doctor that she was lucky, less than a hundred years ago the baby would have died, and possibly herself as well. She was advised to not have more. I think it was more her ability to carry to term, a weak cervix. That's what lost Faith, she was too premature. I believe she spent the last month in bed with Brianna.
I cannot imagine being so deeply in love and having to leave. You have really have shown the deep love and pain found in this story. Excellent
