The sequencing is just so good, this Tangerine Dream Album is in my top 10. Greatings from a veteran TD fan. Yeh I'm nearly 70 and still loving electro/synth music. Been lovin' TD since I first heard Phaedra! Regards Rob (UK)
Cinnamon Road, they made in a tea-break. No Man"'s LAnd is the genius outstanding track. Had they just been to India?! Sphinx lightning: so terribly tedious and a waste of 20 minutes.
These live recordings were made at various concerts using the best versions. The San Francisco concert was marred with random taxi radio calls that interfered with the audio, otherwise it was probably the best of the USA tour that year!
@@bertenqvist7324 I'm not sure which one played the sequencer, I have seen videos where Franke could be seen plugging patch cords in his modular boxes, I know he did a lot of work on the sequencers with TD.
RIP Edgar Froese- A genuine musical innovator.
Memories from my youth. This music is timeless. It sounds just as good as it did 40 years ago.

Good music is timeless, my unknown friend there 😚
I first heat this when I was 6, now I'm 51 and it still sounds the same, wonderful.
Very spiritual, I love it

Totally agree.
4:06-7:26 a hidden gem (Monolight)

Mi grupo musical históricamente preferido.🤗
Well over 40 years old
and in the end they pay homage to Pink Floyd, nice :)
this is the highest period of TD, with Baumann. Check out his Romance 1976 solo album, you can hear a lot of the same tones/themes.
Totally agree with you. The high water mark of a truly great band.
what can one say TD at there peak

La Perfección Total...
The last roughly two minutes sounds exactly like A Saucerful Of Secrets by Pink Floyd.
It doesn't just sound like it, it IS SOS.. A rare cover for them. Touche.
The intro part reminds me of Nocturnes by Chopin.
@@lukagrgic8796 I think I remember reading it was also influenced by Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata.

Doch beeindruckend!
I love the entire song but my favorite part is Chris Franke's sequencer work.
Are u sure ? not Baumanns work ?

CF was the main sequencer man, but there’s a lot going on, maybe PB did some too.
Given the tech of the day this is a masterpiece live album

Die unerklärliche Situationen sind reichlich vorhanden
It's a rehearsal for the Sorcerer soundtrack, 1978. I still love it, though the last side (Deserwater desert?) Is awful.
