My dearest hope is that they were taken away so that they could hatch and become young dragons, because Tallulah said she was hurting. They aren't dead because there are no corpses and they have removed their accessories (maybe because it is attached to the shell and the shell will crack?). Real dragons wouldn't have to fulfil all the quests every day, so parents and eggs could still see each other but the admins would have less of a commitment. But the fact remains that they were taken away, so that might mean a mission to bring them back.
