I know right? & Honestly content creators & fans of skyrim have still been making content and playing it to this day. Modders still modding it to this day, so it's always been around if you've been on that corner of reality. Even oblivion is getting a whole Skyblivion remake by the rebelzize team. The older games just hit different sometimes lol.
Probably my favorite part is how it’s not just random brainrot and actually fits in with the real intro, an example would be in the cart Lokir says “fr on gods” and not just “on god” sense there are multiple gods in Skyrim
Regardless of the generation, the vast majority of popular slang comes from AAVE. As you mentioned, a lot of it gets recycled over the years and takes on its own special forms. I just learned recently that AAVE is way more broad and influential than most people know about, and that everyone basically co-opted it for themselves. No cap.
upside is im not corrupted since i don't know what 80% of these phrases are. mainly stuff like woke fr on god rizz simp and such. no fucking clue what griddied is.
It maybe called something different in regions of the world, but it's just informal words. Sometimes referred to as very informal. Every language has "slang" in a sense. It's most likely just not called slang everywhere. A similar word is colloquialism.
@@lunarwaslost Outside of cockney (parts of London), I wasn’t aware of any form of slang being spoken, whatever one might want to call it. I’m not counting various dialects, of which there are many in the British Isles. When I was growing up, the internet was barely a thing, no social media or anything for social media to exist on. Mobile phones were large bricks for my childhood and generally reserved for businessmen. My first computer had 49152bytes of memory and a screen resolution of 256x192.

The first company I worked for didn’t have internet until the last year or so, when I was in my late 20s. No one around me at school ever had any reason or desire to make up new words, and even if we had, how would we have spread them? No internet, no social media, no smart phones, the only phones for most people were connected to land lines. Those that had computers transferred software by cassette tape for the most part. Is youth slang something of an American thing? When I was at school, I never heard about slang among the youth; we just used English.
