CRT TV's are obsolete. The picture of not "superior". The image quality is poor as they are blurry and lack sharpness. The only thing they are good for is CCTV and watching some old VHS tapes. Also they give off a high pitched noise. If CRT TV's were that good, people would never have moved onto LCD or LED televisions.
michael taylor Those 42" CRT TVs weigh a tonne and a 42" LED TV would have much better image quality and it looks better. I understand the nostalgia of the CRT TVs. I even have a mini CRT TV but don't use it. The majority of the CRT TVs don't have an HDMI port so if you wanted to connect an Xbox or PC to it you would find it hard.
Xenon777 CRT-based TVs may be bulky, but then they deliver one of the best TV pictures you can get from a video display device at a relatively cheap price. The truth is that even the least expensive CRT televisions manage to deliver high contrast ratios, excellent color accuracy, a very deep shade of black, and equally important, a relatively wide color gamut. In addition, true flat-screen high-resolution cathode ray tubes are capable of producing crisp, vibrant images of exceptional quality with hardly any image distortions. These TVs can also display any resolution since a CRT tube is not subject to a fixed native resolution as in fixed-pixel displays like plasma and LCDs, but resolution is instead dependent on the horizontal and vertical sweep frequencies used to build the display. Tube TV is easy to set-up, and will work well in a variety of locations and ambient light conditions. Add their sub-millisecond response time - much faster than even the latest LED TVs, practically zero image lag, and excellent viewing angle, and there you have an exceptionally valid display technology even in the face of today's flat panel TVs.
Retro Fan it's TRUE, pretty much any videophile will tell you its superior in almost every way except not being widescreen most times and its weight. Just compare its non existent image lag and super true black allowing for infinite color contrast ability
My remote control worked on my neighbors Sony TV. Every weekend they would go to the gambling casino. When they would return home Sunday afternoon I'd turned their TV on (with my remote, using it pointed through the window) and I would set the TV on the religious channel. Turn the volume up real loud too! During the week I would kid them that gambling is a sin! After the weekend of gambling they would come home to the TV program preaching at them. They never did figure it out.
Reminds me of that Dennis the Menace tv show, he wakes up Mr.Wilson by using his family's remote control to turn on the tv next door. That was a problem in the old days when we had Ultrasonic remote controls.
I can't believe I actually was in search of this video for educational purposes. Thank you for the full labeling; figured the glass on these was a tad extra, was correct.
@@smashthings1 eBay, for parts. I saw that other video you showed it "not working" doing weird stuffs and weird noises. The tube was okay, that problem was related to the analog board. Those CRT tubes won't ever be made again, breaking them is just dumb.
As a retro gamer, (look at my username) i find this disgusting but satisfying at the same time
Disgusted at an inanimate object being destroyed? What?
@@smashthings1?
another sam that plays roblox too?? 😮
@@smashthings1 its because us retro gamers use crts for every game console from wii or eariler
@@rleproductions2834 This TV was busted anyway... I found it sitting on the curb wet from the rain.
A stupid flat screen LCD TV would break in a heartbeat compared to the fancy CRT Sony Trinitron TV!
0:00 the crt is damaged a little on the center
That's just scratches.
This is not good
I know where you can put that golf club. What a waste. CRT picture is still superior to hdtv in color, response time.
Retro Fan. Fuck you, leave him alone, he can do what ever he wants.

Hey smashthings1. I have a 40in Sony Bravia LCD HDTV. But here in the states. It's considered rare and vintage. Even though was manufactured in 2008.
