I’m so glad I found this I’ve loved this song for years and I’ve always wondered how they made the beat

We figured it's an acceptable compromise to stabilise the rest of the video. There are some real "shakey cam" moments on these old Producer Masterclasses…! Unfortunately, you can't apply the stabilisation to only part of the video, so it's all or nothing.

Its funny seeing the small LCD screens from a relatively short time ago in these CM videos... Tear you down = timeless 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Did they really beep out the name of the samplepacks they used? why would someone do that? specially in a tutorial

no it was a sampled break that they havent cleared, the record label probably asked them not to reveal it incase of a law suite

Dude, this is what I don't understand about computer music. This is the third dnb guy that either won't tell you the names of the breaks, or computer music bleeps it out. Look, it has nothing to do with copyright. That's how they get away with not spilling the beans. It's a 2 second drum loop , used as a layer in a track. Trust me you're not getting sued. And don't tell me oh you can find breaks everywhere. Nah man there's good breaks these guys pass around and hoard. Trust me.

if you go through old dnb and jungle breaks you will find it you just cant be bothered, theres no hoarding of breaks going on when theyre sampled from easily available records

Its probably one of 10 breaks. To me it sounds like one break in particular by a bad that released its follow up album around 1995. One I recently sampled for a track I'm making. And nope, I'm not spilling the beans either hahaha people have it too easy these days, my self included. Up until about 12 or 13 years ago you had to just figure it all out on your own. Be glad you have so many producers sharing all sorts of tricks and studio beta. Breakbeats though....that's one you gotta just listen to over and over and know your r&b, funk, soul, jazz and rock and reggae.

You cant just stumble into a certain genre of music and expect to be told everything. Especially in this type of scene. I've been making and playing dnb/jungle for over 20 years. Nothing comes easy. It's the hardest fucking shit to make and worth every ounce

and you obviously weren't reading me to the end, and i'm obviously not interrupting your experience.

person responsible for a channel should be punished really well
turning deshaking algo on turned intro into a complete mess
