@@greenD7244 These lyrics have some subtle yet strong biblical echoes whether this was the writer's purpose or not, particularly in this part: "i beg of you, your sympathy, for i know you feel the same as me, your hand in mine, though we have died, we may continue living" Basically it reminds me of how its written that Jesus though being God, can relate personally to the hurts that people feel and also how Jesus said that anyone who believes in me will live even if they die, and he says it like that which is kinda... not really, the trial for Perfect Cherry Blossom came out in 2002. Danny came out in 2003. I doubt the writers for that show knew about touhou and its likely just a coincidence but still. besides Danny takes more inspiration from spider man then anything.

So to an outsider the storyline and characters seem multitudes more interesting than a PC version of backyard firework wars.
Yep, there are other types of games for Touhou. Like Koumajou Densetsu which is like castlevania or the .5 fighting game series. If I recall there's also some games on the console aswell with the latest addition ported for the switch. If you do a bit more digging, there's also plenty of fanon games out there.
They make sense to me! I've read too many song translations that are so convoluted I'm not sure there was any meaning at all, it's refreshing to come across songs whose lyrics actually make sense lol.
