- In 1842 a French street performer named Napoline Zoppé fell in love with an equestrian ballerina and the founded the circus that still bears their name. Handed down from generation to generation, The Zoppé Family Circus continues to entertain audiences under an Old World circus tent, in one intimate ring.

Just got back from their show today! It was an incredible experience and I hope to see them again!
Cathedral city.❤❤❤
I worked on Carden International circus when I was about 19 years old and kind of got to know the entire Zoppe family. I sort of hung around Giovanni, well, at least as much as his father would allow. He was "old circus" and performers hanging out with the laborers was frowned on. Anyway, watching how their family worked and lived together was amazing. How people who lived in such close quarters and worked in such a stressful business could remain so close was incredible. Alberto was a very strong willed man, ruled his family with sort of an iron fist, but you could always see the love and pride in his eyes when he looked at his children. It gave me a great respect for the man. I feel it was on of the great privileges of my like knowing him. We should all aspire to be a circus family.
That's amazing. Thank you for sharing this wonderful story.
