Kabul Afghanistan, Food with The Sultan! Ive eaten food many many times here in Afghanistan but never vlogged the food so much, im not so into food vlogging so this was just a quick vlog while i was out walking around Shar E naw area with Sultan, there are many of these restaurants next to each other and at night the smells and the smoke fills the air from the chicken and kebabs cooking, its so bust sometimes you can barely get along the street! We had a quick food stop and it was amazing as always. i will miss the many food places and especially all the juice shops !!

Roads are neat and clean, hotels are also very clean, people are happy and friendly, fresh food fruit everywhere, and very cheap also. It's tourist paradise

Afghanistan's afghani has surged 9% against the US dollar over the past three months. The Taliban's tight controls have made the currency the world's best performer since July 1.
That's true about the Afghani surging against the US dollar. The bad news is the Talibans tight currency controls have caused a massive spike in unemployment, with 79% of the population living in poverty, and 44% of people don't have enough food to eat.

Welcome to Afghanistan Miss Emma. The most delicious food of Afghanistan is in the north ( Mazar e Sharif, Kunduz and etc). The U.K is an old friend of Afghanistan. we fought wars among ourselves and provided services to each other such as construction of Artel bridge in the middle of kabul river, a rifle factory by the British in Peshawar( to days Pakistan) and these have worked since it made.We people of Afghanistan are hospitable.And we should respect the children who were friends of our fathers. 🇦🇫🏳🇬🇧

Lately a number of dishes like Shinwari, Chicken Karai, Chicken handi and blah blah and many more are being imported to Afghanistan from neighboring countries, in particular Pakistan--of course no offense to our Pashtoon countrymen who worked really hard in importing these dishes as in Pashton areas they were not really familiar with Kabul and Mazar's famous dishes (except for those who would come to Kabul jan, get civilized and got familiar with the culture of living in cities. Among many other authentic famous Afghan dishes Kabuli people used to have, to name some, I can start with Manto, Ashak, Qabuli Palaw, Sholai Ghorbandi, Shorwa, gosht laandi, Burani and the list goes on and on.
It never fails, even when trying to be nice and complimentary, bigoted comments sneak in. It must be difficult being consumed with so much hatred. So, glad I was not raised with this burden.
There is no Mazar dish etc . All are important from Iran 😜
Karahi is an Afghan dish, Chicken Handi is Indian, where did Pakistan come in the middle😂.

Is the food safe? I can’t say I’d be too keen on eating meat from a lamb that’s hanging outside unrefrigerated. That aside, love your vlog. Afghans are absolutely beautiful.
Yes it’s safe , this is how all the meat is stored at restaurants, thw cooking process kills off anything, I’ve never got sick yet from these places 😊
There is no blood for it to get spoiled, it’s like dry aging but not really because the meat finishes in a day and the next day, they butcher fresh
In Afghanistan there is no freezing concept they bring fresh on daily basis and finish them in the same day so always eat able 😋 some famous restaurants finish them in 5 to 6 hours

This is a Pakistani way not Afghans, little issue with clean ways. Real Afghans never cook without washing the meat. Never use foot to cut meat. Mostly wash hands before handling food.

Is this place really safe for eating? Can't see any refrigerators, meat is being cut almost on top of his feet. Considering the hot climate , I'd go to a more hygienic place and keep away from there
It’s common for meat to be hung like this here , we didn’t have refrigerators in the past either , actually the cooking process kills anything bad in the meat , it’s usually quite freshly killed also … I’ve never got sick at any of. These places …and I’ve been to a lot 😊
@@WanderingEmma Tell them Emma! They don’t understand, he had that knife held in his foot to make it easier to cut. Actually we are not even supposed to wash meat, but Afghans still do. For these restaurants to sell one lamb or sheep in a day is very easy. They just get there meet fresh everyday, butcher shops are everywhere.

@@WanderingEmma I'm no longer in Afghanistan, but I still stay in touch with Afghan friends who are desperate to get out of Afghanistan. As far as Afghan women, girls are no longer permitted to attend secondary school. Women are blocked from working in most sectors and are under orders to cover themselves in public. Shame on you Emma, for failing to mention this. I think it's great you figured out a way to make money while doing something you enjoy. It's not so great to portray Afghan women, being treated well under Taliban rule. You have spent enough time in Afghanistan, to know what is really going on there. I'm surprised you can sleep at night being so deceptive.
@@CrimeFighter1943 I have mentioned education in previous vlogs , it’s not something I will talk about in every vlog I make ! Everyone knows what is going on there with women, while it’s a sad situation, I also have many female friends there who get a bit of hope when they see me out doing things alone .. the country has many beautiful things to see , and while there’s no denying what’s going on with woman I will not make it the focus of each vlog I make , I travel , I’m not political .. you have a you tube channel , why don’t you make a vlog about this if you feel so strongly it should be addressed by a travel vlogger , do it yourself, also you should know how much a you tuber makes , barely enough to cover my flights🤷♀️
