I think most people understand that bugs are sadly inevitable; whether a third party integration fails or it's something internal, at some point an app will most likely run into problems. However, the way we interact with tech has changed a lot over the last 30 years or so, and with it, so have the expectations of users. So, even though some people know it can happen, it's because of other games they play that are more stable that they can't believe such a simple app can break. That being said, if devs aren't being mindful of best practices and design patterns, then the mess they've built likely makes it harder to avoid creating bugs, and of course, fixing them is also more challenging.

I don't know why people even complain about the bugs I almost never encounter any... The dev resources would be better allocated I think
