@@dylan_krishna_777there are full contact ju jitsu rulesets and they're amazing, but I think jj fighting system is a great intetmediate ruleset with health and longevity in mind
Why do the fighters wave or backup and reset after a punch to the body? Is this to just "sell" the hit to the ref or do they actually have to do that to get the points? Can you just keep punching the body and stacking points?
Very good question. The current interpretation of rules says that you can score just once per engagement. It means that only one hit will be scored even if you hit your opponent few times. So after scoring points you can go back to longer distance and start another action in engagment or you can grab a grip and do the grappling/judo part. This interpretation of the rules was applied to make scoring more clear for the viewers. Before that referees used to give points for every single hit, what was difficult, because it's impossible to notice every ippon or wazari in the action that contains tens of hits, so that caused many controversial decisions back then.
You can win by points or by full ippon. Ju-Jitsu Fighting System is devided to 3 parts. Part I: striking Part II: throwing and takedowning and Part III: ne-waza. To win the fight before time is up. You have to score an ippon in each single part
Can someone tell me what is the difference of this, and brazilian Ji Jitsu? So you can hit in this sport, and you can also get him to the ground to win?
Why not allow low kicks and strikes to head? Very limited sport. Give them headgear or other form of protection if its for safety reasons... But this is very unnatural. In real fights you dont strike for points, as these strikes are mostly fast, but without impact. In real fight its quite the opposite. Big haymakers meant to knockout. And of course low kicks are super easy to use aswell
This is not old style of japanese jujitsu. In Italy it is called Modern JuJitsu and is the evolution of the Metodo Bianchi, originally style of self defense, I dont Know the origin in other european cpuntries
@@SimonAttenberger I spoke about the JJ in Italy. Ancient style as Yoshin or Hakko or Daitoryu dont prepare athletes for this competition. BJJ is different. I believe that in this compettions not have partecipation of Japanese team.
@giacomopriano4758 ok, I understand what you mean. Still characterising this style as "not Jiu-Jitsu" would be a "no true scotsman". It may not be the same as some of the ancient styles, but so where they, since they had different versions back then as well.
Love Ju-jitsu fighting. Standing up its like karate. On the ground like judo or wrestling
Unbelievable Ju JItsu Fighting isn't more popular.

Unfortunately, the most efficient is rarely the most popular. That's the human race 😅😂🤣

There’s another discipline within the JJIF - with headgear
its better then just BJJ or Judo and basically you only need some boxing to be ready for MMA.
Sambo
Bien, mais apprenez à boxer et entrainez vous dans une cage de MMA vous progresserez enormement...
