Literally one of the best modern day musician moments and hardly anyone has seen it 🤦♂️ dude straight owned that banjo! At that point I’d just gave it to him that’s why he’ll never play one of mine 😂😂😂😂
Agreed, it sounds "green", but powerful.. id love to hear it 20, 30, 50 years down the road... And when Jim mills says he wants the neck.. make the man a neck!! I'd love to see a frankenbajo put together by him of the best of the best parts available today and what it would sound like.. the guy is a walking tonal library of what the epitome of a bluegrass banjo should sound like. A Great moment.. glad I stumbled across it and got to see it..
You don't have to wake 20 or 30 years the banjo sounds good right now.. I've had instruments for 40 years that have not changed tone and not one bit.. If they don't get better in the first few years get rid of them.. They're just a bunch of parts that are put together and it's not some sort of magical thing.. But it does take more than a little while to get them to Settle in.. Then you have to take time to tweak.. Trying different things to get it to do what you needed to do.. But yeah they don't keep getting better.. They're either good or they're not..I And this one is very good
Jimmy makes all banjos sound great
