The Old Miners found GOLD here but can Levi?

  • In this video i go to an area of historic mining history to see if the gold in this location is large and flat as described by the prospectors in olden times. The gold was describet as "flat like rolled oats"
Join me on my adventure as I snipe and detect a creek where miners of old found a lot of gold in the early days of Tasmania's mining boom.

Really enjoy your drone footage and focus on plants unique to Tasmania. Choice of music works well with your scenes too. Thanks Levi, and maybe those old miners we’re looking over your shoulder🤔as I’m thinking that creek looked the same when they first prospected there all those years ago. Keep up your great work and effort, cheers mate👍

    Nice area mate.🍺
The banks of the creek are fairly flat and that bedrock would be relatively shallow in some places.... great detecting area.
Remember that creek has changed its course many times in millions of years and there may be richer channels now buried.
    Worth a go anyway.

Hey Levi, by the way, I absolutely love the name it's a perfect name in my opinion! I have been watching Abyss Dredging and they will sometimes take rocks and build a small dam with rocks to increase the water level for their dredge, most times they can raise the level 6-8 inches just using rocks to block it up. I know it won't work all the time but it's a great way to do things at times. I told them about your channel and it turns out they are already watching your channel, they are across the pond there in New Zealand. It's pretty crazy what a small world we live in at times. Love your videos and honestly,
I only have one small complaint and that is I don't like the music you overlay on your videos, just hearing you walk through the woods and in the water is enough for me, maybe others could comment on what they think too. Have an awesome day and you have a great family as well.
I'm totally sorry for you losing your brother as well, I lost a nephew who was special to all of us as he was an amazing kid, but he took his own life, it was also mental illness. He left behind 3 kids an adorable wife and a family who loved him dearly, it was very hard to lose him. Keep your chin up as GOD has a way of healing all our hurts. GOD BLESS and have a great day!

hello mate of the yellow metal and the GM1000, I love your videos snorkeling collecting gold in that field I am still in practice but detecting with the goldmonster I have more practice and from experience I would tell you that if you can detect dry better, when there is a Little water makes it difficult to remove a picker or nugget from the crack and I advise you to use the pan to clean the earth that surrounds the objective and even if it is very slight the signal clears the crevice well. Hello Levi, greetings from Venezuela. I do not remember which was the first video of yours that I saw and from that moment I have not stopped watching them, the most awaited moment is when you weigh your findings. When you prospect in a single day of exploration, you get just over a gram. Do you know how much a gram of Gold counts in Venezuela, today, Monday, August 17, it is at 18,812,076.32 Bolívares, if we take into account that the minimum salary in Venezuela is: 800,000.00 Bolívares, we are talking about a day of work prospecting and being lucky you can find the equivalent of 23 months' salary. That's why the gold rush is entering me. I hope one day to show my findings and have a comment from you on my channel. I'll see you in the next video you make.

    Hi Levi,
could be as simple as a iron rich rock, then again it could be a meteorite. ☄️💫
You should carry a small heavy metals magnet 🧲 to check.
Meteorites are rare finds and can be worth a bit of 💰
love all the snipping mate. And scenic videos.
    your the master. 🍻
If it ain’t broke don’t fix it... you do you bro...👍
but a pan can be handy tool to carry for helping clean out crevices when waters are so shallow , even a very small pan can be useful, Those suck tubes I see some guys use along with the gold monster , a bucket and pan may be a good idea 🤔 for them colder days ☃️... hate to see you get anymore frostbite 🥶

Leaving your gold pan at home is like not having any toilet paper. When gold is flat it usually because it has been beaten for many years and carried by glaciers for miles.I know of some creeks here in Washington State,USA that have flat flakes just like that creek. There is no gold deposits for over 100 miles from that creek,up in British Columbia,CA.The glaciers in the last ice age carried the gold to deposit it in morans and the creeks only concentrated the gold. Most of the gold sets on a clay layer far above bedrock on those creeks. No enough to pay but fun to just pan out for show its there.
