My first "ferrylapse", complete with instrumentation and stabilization, and my last video of 2013. Happy holidays! #ferry #timelapse #sanfrancisco #baybridgesanfrancisco #goldengatebridge #ferrylapse
Dave Yost What speed to make a timelapse is always a judgement call -- sometimes I'm accused of going too fast and sometimes too slow. It is too bad the UA-cam player doesn't have more speed control abilities. Uploading all the variations is probably not practical. I have in the past on rare occasions uploaded multiple versions of the same video, but it seems weird to do so. I could upload a 512x version, lol! Anyway, thanks for watching and thanks for the comment, good to hear from you.
Thanks for noticing, it did turn out rather well I think. It is a combination of multiple things (not listed in any order): a camera with fairly sophisticated stabilization (Sony HDR-PJ790V), a steady hand using a boat railing as a brace/mount, a large ferry that is reasonably stable, after-stabilization by Motion5, and some patient fixing up by hand during video editing. All of those combined.
Hello, We (Free! Mason Jar) are putting together a time lapse music video for this song: freemasonjar.bandcamp.com/track/oceania-ft-giselle-minshull We were curious if we could use any of this footage as part of a collaborative effort?

Very nicely done! I'm watching it with another 2x on top of your 4x. How about posting a 16x version? And higher.

What equipment/stabilization setup did you use for this? It looks great!
