I was smiling when he said they were going home but my face went dead straight when he said many would drown in the pounding waves

Well you know what they say; you win some you lose some!
One appears above the hill , THEN AN ARMY
CHARGE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Over the hills and far away *turtles* come to invade
@@rhey81 you beat me to it lol
To Vallhala!!!
Omaha beach part two
Seeing these tiny turtles fighting against those overwhelming forces of waves makes me feel like fighting onwards again
Zerus Zephuros It makes me hungry
Zerus Zephuros I don't know, it is as if a million people are gambling and a few win, and someone sees the winners and saying, "oh, they won. It makes me feel like gambling."
Dattebayo
That's great to hear that!
Amazing how they can find their home after 20 years!
EAC.. DUDE....
God's creation is so intricate and beautiful
Turtles are special to me because I saw them hatching on a beach in Florida.
Turtles hatching is not a very special occurrence.
How is it negative?
Lord Geezmo How is it not? It is certainly a precious and rare occurrence to watch
It certainly can be rare and special to see, but it is not a rare occurrence, nor a special one.
Lord Geezmo that sentence completely contradicts itself
1:02 I can imagine this turtle saying "Charge!" in a baby voice.
Most probably, let us find our mother.
1:06
CHARGE!
CHARGE!
CHARGE!!!
Like baby Groot voice maybe.
AND THE WINGED HUSSARS ARRIVED
So planet earth recently taught me that, because a lot of cities are next to the beaches these days, baby turtles mistake the artificial lights as the moon when they're born at night, so they climb towards that and then, gets crushed by cars or dying from exhaustion from crawling towards nothing.. wow these turtles have it tough
Jay Ddragon So sad :(
😢😢
I believe there are people who help the turtles find their way.
lol that’s hilarious
I literally read this fact 5 mins ago and here I am
"See the turtle of enormous girth! On his shell he holds the earth. His thought is slow but always kind; he holds us all within his mind. On his back all vows are made; he sees the truth but mayn't aid. He loves the land and loves the sea, And even loves a child like me."
Incredible how these chaps travel from Chelonia to beaches across the world.
The tiny turtle comes out of the earth like a new plant comes out from the seed! Thanks to BBC team!
Turtles are such amazing creatures; really saddens me that very few survive
just beautiful ....glad I am alive on this planet..its exceptional.👍
Omg a Gunwook in the wild!
Always amazing. There is no other David Attenborough! I was fortunate to be present at Perth Zoo, when an ECONOMICS student and meeting Sir D, helped me choose to take part in the Ningaloo Reef campaign etc...
A turtle made it to the water!
The cycle of life can be cruel 😔
Sir D.A. is da best!!!
Beauty of nature..
So inspiring. Member viewing quite similar natural films 40-50yrs ago, with damnable film makers showing predators taking half tryin' to get to water, other predators in water.Jeezsh!
They are a wonder to watch ...Such determination ..*
Amazing worlds, beautiful little turtles
Absolutely, still have no idea. Love your voice.
I feels like such a "duh, hindsight 20/20" moment, but I didn't know sea turtles could drown...
They are so Cute the little munchkins.
so cool how they waited on the sea floor till nighttime looked great
I so wanna take one home. They’re sooo beautiful 🥺❤️
UUUGH I wanna hold one so bad! THEY ARE SO CUTE
Beatifull Nature
Green sea turtles get their name from the color of their body fat, which is green because of the algae they eat.
Adult green sea turtles prefer coral reefs, seagrass beds, and mangroves, while hatchlings and juveniles live farther from shore.
Unlike most sea turtles, adult green turtles are herbivorous, feeding on sea grasses and algae in the wild, while in captivity, they feed on lettuce and cabbage. Juvenile green turtles, however, will also eat invertebrates like crabs, jellyfish, and sponges.
Green sea turtles are threatened or endangered and are fast and powerful swimmers, reaching up speeds of nearly 40 miles per hour.
Happy Green Sea Turtle Day!
Those waves...those poor sea turtles just got trampled trying to get to the water. That was brutal.
Majestic, just Majestic
There’s a lot of comments saying birds shouldn’t be able to get em but it’s just the way things are like lol
The Cycle of Life can be cruel.
Used to to Monrepos Queensland Australia as kid ( till you had to book a tour ) I only ever saw Loggerheads there . They have a few Greens and flatbacks I only ever one of them nest .
THEY NOH DEH WEY!
DO DEY DOH?
I love the ocean so much.
Then why don't cha marry it?
that was beautiful 😢
The whole time I was just screaming... RUN RUN RUN RUN!!!
yeah then they get to the surf and it's PULL BACK, PULL BAACK!
Thanks for posting!
Beautiful it is, keep uploading 👍
Let's go swimming let's go swimming
Nature is so amazing,,God teaches us through it
Geweldig mooi weer wat is onze wereld toch fantastisch
THIS IS THE CUTEST THING IVE SEEN ALL WEEK
I KNOW RIGHT it is so cute to watch the baby turtles run for the ocean on the scorching sand although all that awaits them there is a current that will end up washing most of them out to the ocean in which they will drown.
Gunnar Everett Soooo cute!
Gunnar Everett OMG SAME!!!!!!!!1/!\,+*9÷.
Yes, I also find them cute. :)
Most of them were probably eaten off camera
For the people who want to be able to help them into the sea after hatching- even if you did that it would make very little difference in how many reach reproductive age, and therefore very little difference in the survival of the species. It's a nice thought, but the place people should help them is when they are adults or almost so and prone to getting caught in fishing nets and drowned. That's their biggest threat, so start with fishing boats if you want to save the turtles.
It would still help that one hatchling though, no animal wants to die, you're right about the other stuff tho
@@paulspencer5467 You are certainly right about that.
Am I the only one who would pick them all up and ferry them to calm water?
I am with you all the way......BUT !!!
Birds and crabs gotta eat, baby sea turtles are probably delish
Sometimes "helping" isn't helping
It's like turtle D-day
Well damn. Most of those boys in the day made it.
So cute
I know y’all in the comments feel for the little guys, but having a harsh start to the world that kills off the unlucky or weaker members off the bat is a way to assure the strongest genes get passed on. It’s sad, but it’s for the betterment of their species.
Life finds a way
That is really encouraging. Now i am filled with so many questions. How do they survive without any guidance. How do turtles find their way in ocean. There so much yet to know about these wonderful species.
by the time they are hatched out how do they know that they have to head towards ocean?
Jaspreet Jandoo instinct
Or the sand is burning them😂
Joseph N. 😂😂
same reason why a baby wants to be with mother
Yes to me going into UA-cam at 2:am watching beautiful animals👀
Because humans arent the only one who are smart.. They just remember how to go back, its by the way incredible that those beings hatch and instantly know that they have to go to the sea. We really need to save the oceans..
It's called instinct.
+Alea Chronophage You got a source to back up your claim? I'd be interested to read it.
If you go to the wikipedia page the second example they provide is a baby turtle making it's way to the beach...
Lord Geezmo instinct is just the word people use when they don't know exactly why. It's not intelligence either though, not like the turtle thinks it through.
Do you have anything substantial to add or are you just trying to seem profound?
Amazing sea !
I never considered them drowning in those waves!
#savetheturtles
A TURTLE MADE IT TO THE WATER
By finishing off saying "..we still have no idea", Attenborough leaves open a spiritual window.
Savage waves
Green turtle lays their eggs in same coast where it born
Man how lucky are we

D-day for turtles
I wanted to pick up the turtles and yeet them in the ocean so bad but I can't lol.
Yea don’t it’s sad but that’s nature
Can anyone please tell me where the original full-length video went? My family and I watched it and loved it, but now all I can find is the 2-3 minute clip! Where is the full-length feature?!
Small turtles, and big, strong waves. But, the turtles succeeded, they move on.
The low of nature - magic of life.
Getting to fridge at 3am like
Yeh aisay chalta hai pani main jaisay asman main parinday urtay hain
A batalha das tartarugas é o desígnio da natureza a mais constante...a mudança é mistério que adensa a expectativa humana de a descobrir de que existe quando aparecem em modo crescido!! O mistério permanece e intriga e a descoberta nunca mais chega??
No seagulls? Damn they're missing out on some gourmet shit.
Turtle Apocalypse
1:23 you have earned 83 reputation with tortolan seekers
These are gentle creatures its just sad that evil humans exploites that kindness...
Tão pequeninas e tão valentes!! o mar enrola na areia e no desmaiar do mar elas nadam como se nascessem ensinadas...e nós temos que ser ensinados dos seus mistérios e a respeitar estas intrigantes e queridas criaturas?? Fica a questao do desconhecido??
Seems to me like turtles that are hatched near the more gentler waters would have the most chance at surviving
Did they edit this video? Last time I watched I remember there were also birds preying on them and eating them.
I also remember salt water crocodile crunching them
Screw the concrete jungle, we got turtles
My baby turtle just died and Im cryin

i love animals but it is sad to see them die:(
When the baby sea turtles reach the water, it looks like the water is murdering them, in my opinion
Great video! LIKE#192
i want this video whit ''what do u want from me'' from pink floyd have u ever seen it?
the 1st thing they do after hatch is went towards sea.
survival of the fittest
The only thing human babies know is to eat, yet the first thing a turtle baby do is to run toward the sea. They sure know and can do a lot as newborns.
this shit is dope
