Why don't you try it again? I did just that. I am 71 and put the skates on at a local rink recently. I lost everything as far as skating skills. I had a hard time just standing. I eventually got some of it back and found myself skating at a rookie level. I went again and managed 52 laps with my skills improving even more, but I still have much more to go. I am now looking to buy skates. Yes, I was the oldest person out there, but I was skating better than more than a few out there. Yes, I had a smile. It was great fun.
Can anyone tell me who the beautiful skater is in the pink top with Lacey Skates?? I have seen her several times in your videos, just curious, she is so cute in her skates. P.S. I rock a pair of VNLA jr. Lagoons at 51 yrs old. I love skating.
I grew up skating and want to do it again so bad but at 53....and watching how everybody seems to be so good...I am afraid I would cause somebody to wipe out or make somebody mad.
FYi, the average age of the people attending these events is 50. Think about That!! do it slow, Do it safe.. It will come back. I am 48 and never stopped. Cheers.
If ya gonna make an excuse, at least make a good one. Get up, go buy your skates, and get out on the floor. I was out of it for 25 years. It comes back with time trust me. You will pick up where you left off in no time and meet great people along the way. If nothing else, just go and watch every weekend for a little bit.
You got this. Now is a great time to pick it back up. Spring is sprung and skating had a HUGE pandemic boost. There's LOADS of videos out there teaching you how to get going again.
@@rollerkingonce I second RKO. Im not even close to this skill level, but I went back to skating at my local rink about 3 years ago. I got my kids involved in the rink doing inline speed skating now . They havent picked up the quad skating bug yet but you never now.
Nice job filming and a good beat with that song playing. Amazing no one crashes and respects each other. Pretty ladies as well.
Reminds of when I use to go to the roller rink with my friends from 1977-1980. Sure do wish we could turn back time. Those were some of my best times.
