I know this is old, but they actually make a product called "seam sealer" it's designed for covering pinch weld seams. Available at auto body repair suppliers. I probably would have welded that though, and then cover with seam sealer.
Depends on which trim you have, all trims should be able to fit 225/65/17, upland/TH should be able to fit 235/65/17 with very light rubbing. If you install wheel spacers bigger than 1”, just about all tires will rub.
@@RenegadeExpedition I I have a Trailhawk, was looking at some of the lifts and seen about the pinch weld mod. Not something I really want to do. Was thinking of going with a 2" and bigger tires.
DMBrown Photography the amount lift isn’t the problem. It’s about clearing the spring perch on the strut. Anything bigger than a 29” tire will hit it. The only thing you can do is get wheel spacers or run a bigger offset, but that’s what will cause the need for a pinch seam mod.
