    When Lucy Charles-Barclay says that she knows she is in trouble if she doesn't have a 10 min lead on Anne going into the run , then you know you are talking about a very special talent. She is just flippen amazing. Warm greetings from Cape Town, South Africa !!

    Nach dem Beitrag habe ich noch viel mehr Respekt von dieser Frau! Ferner verstehe ich wieso sie soooo konstant, wie kaum eine andere ist. Sie scheint wirklich alles dem Sport zu widmen, sie hat nicht mal eine wirkliche Wohnung. Hut aber vor so viel Selbstaufgabe oder Selbstverwirklichung. Die Anne ist ne geile 🧦!

    wow impressive, many talk the talk, Anne walks the walk: living a spartan existence when she could easily live in some fancier place, training hard at this age, forsaking social connections... i wish her many more years in this sport and doing what she loves most.

    I tried running like Anne and i got injured and never got into my first full marathon i signed in. (Sounds ridiculous but true) She’s is beyond extra 💪🏼

    The competition is getting more and more fearsome for every year leaving no room for anything but the sport if you want to be competing for the podium. Is that obsession? Perhaps but it is certainly also dedication and extreme willpower.

    Every time i run my tiny 2.5 km run in the super sprint, i chant " Run like Annie Haug, run like Annie Haug". I am just learning to swim and my run is terrible but i love doing it.

      I’ve been the soldier. In Africa I took some of the places the nun has had. I’m no where near this level. But I am pretty good and doing my first Olympic trial.

    The idea of the title of this video is potentially damaging to those of us, I assume most of us, who would like to lead a healthy and happy life. One which is not dominated by it. Do not create a standard which almost no one wants to or should have to follow.

      That's a good question. Is there any footage of her after she crossed the line when she won Kona? If she had family, surely she would have gone and hugged them. That's what the winners always do. Except Kristian, he hugged his coach.

    Wow, really have no sympathy for the 17 years without a holiday thing. I'm sure training is challenging at times, but the compensation and conditions more than make up for. There's always a 9-5 office job available if she fancies it.

      ​@@amblincorkit is true. She means she hasn't has a weekend or holiday away= drinking, partying, eating rubbish on the sofa. She obviously takes recovery days, but she doesn't holiday or relax like you and I would.
