As her early critics have all fallen off by the wayside, it's great to see how fully she can handle the Great American Songbook classics, worthy of comparisons with the Vaughans, Bakers, Fitzgeralds, and Clooneys, who she matches in subtle nuances, jazzy embellishments, and range, entirely avoiding the trite, irritating nasal autotuned voices passed off as singers today. No machine-gun runs, trilling to impress while disguising a wandering pitch in search of a key. No screaming pyrotechnics, wasted in artificial crescendos that go nowhere, in contemporary tunes that say nothing, with no emotional depth, no memorable lyrics, no resonant melody. God bless Tony for having an influence, certainly, in her stylistic choices and respect for great, timeless music.
Couldnt agree more. I think we got a new voice again already with chromatica. She sounds very different and experimental there. She is the definition of versatile and of a performance artist as well
I fully agree with z from 2 years ago about his/her comments about the greatness of Lady Gaga when performing from the Great American Songbook. Incidentally, I love her duets with Tony Bennett, especially when singing from the Cole Porter songbook.
After one whole quart of brandy Like a daisy I'm awake With no Bromo Seltzer handy I don't even shake Men are not a new sensation I've done pretty well I think But this half pint imitation Put me on the blink But I'm wild again, beguiled again Simpering, whimpering child again Bewitched, bothered and bewildered, am I I could not sleep and wouldn't sleep Till love came and told me I shouldn't sleep Bewitched, bothered and bewildered, am I Oh I lost my heart, but what of it? He is cold I agree They can laugh, but I love him And so the laugh's on me I'll sing to him, bring spring to him And long for the day when I cling to him Bewitched, bothered and bewildered, am I He's a fool and don't I know it But a fool can have his charms I'm in love and don't I show it Like a babe in arms Oh! I've sinned a lot, I mean a lot But now I'm sweet seventeen a lot Bewitched, bothered and bewildered, am I Bewitched! Bothered! And bewildered, am I
not a fan of her at all but when she sang with tony bennet she blow my mind she is a natural jazz singer there is where she is great she should record a jazz album i would be the first to run and get it
Does anyone know if any other artists recorded an upbeat swing version of this song? I thought for sure I heard this version before but I can't find it
disrespect !!!! what do you talkin about .... shame on you she is do s great rendition of this song ....!!! just clean your ears first before listening .... but alright maybe you just jelous .... sorry for my bad english ...
@@cristianlicious No. I do not think I would of been able to hear it if I was. In my purely humble opinion she should stick to her own music which no doubt she has a large following.
Shes the artist of our time.
a little bit of Amy Winehouse here
WOW. That Garlandesque singing really suits her. Completely different character. Amazing.
Dark soul. Brilliant
I am seeing Liza here but I catch your drift. Same vein.
I love the way she moves on the stage, her voice, her style, everything. Always!
OMG she's fucking talented !
She's not only great singer she's also great actress
Oh my her voice. Such a devine singing!

Perfectly said here. 👌
Yeah, great comment, captured a lot. Gaga is the real deal, thrilling rather than trilling.
The way she sings "cling to him" ugh so good
She has always been amazing and im so glad she finally showed every alley of her voice
I still think she has some surprises
Couldnt agree more.

way to go, Steph, show your generation what real music is....
I'm a very big gaga fan i grew up with her work and it is so filled with references that it's definatly a huge chunk of my artistic knowledge
@@Alicegab300 same here, so much of my knowledge on film/music/art/fashion comes from her
What a voice! I love her. Good luck in the Grammys Gaga :)
''I know you love this one'' I love her
I like it too when she said that
I love her too. I get a kick out of her voice.
Joker 2 will be iconic with this.
I enjoy this performance as much as I love the way she intimates the audience. incredible voice and stage act. what a diva!!
The artist. The icon. The queen
Watched the full concert on Blu-ray. Highly recommend it to any lover of jazz!
This is timeless, she is timeless
I love her voice!!
Amazing. She pulls off Ella Fitzgerald like a champ, while making it all her own.
I'd never have thought she had that in her. Brilliant!
Bravo Stephanie!
Brilliant rendition of this classic song.

She's got such stage presence!

Good for Gaga! This is a great, shortened version! Love it! (And I'll cover it soon.) Thanks!
Perfeita como poucas 🥺🥺🥺💕💕💕
My dear Lady Gaga, you are so great singing:Bewitched... and, yeah and yes. Both Sarah and your singular style.
I’m so happy when Joaquin sang this in Joker 2, given that Lee did a cover which is my favorite.
P.S. I like the rehearsal better.
DAMN GIRL!
She's AWESOME 💙
I hear Ella in her voice.
More of this please!...Take that Christina, your move.
She is just amazing
Amazing, the best

上手いね。ジャズは畑の違う人が歌うのは難しいと思うけど。ガガは素晴らしい。😃サンキュー😆💕✨
I wonder if she chose this song for joker 2, it’s sad she didn’t get to sing it, I would love to have a studio version!❤
My kind of Great! BAK
love this. sam barnetts version too.its simple and sweet.
A credible performance. I'm convinced she can sing standards - especially those that lend themselves to this cabaret style.
not a fan of her at all but when she sang with tony bennet she blow my mind she is a natural jazz singer there is where she is great she should record a jazz album i would be the first to run and get it

definitely :) its jazz - the band chooses the tempo, really :) there might be tons of different version as it is an clasic
patti lupone. it was said that the original composition was sung in an upbeat version, hence patti's and gaga's rendition
Brava MA ELLA E ' INCOMPARABILE.
anyone know what key this is on?
Here in 2019??
Very sweet and she's always great but do I detect a little bit of Liza
Looks like Patti Lupone.
I wish she had sung the original lyrics.
Why all these fake laugh tracks lol
I love this song. This version is awful and a half.
Served vocals tho
Too cartoonish ! For me she wrecked the song ! !
Ella Fitzergerald is better. None of Ella's fluency. Organ sounds like a cinema organ.
No
poser
Shocking disrespect to a superb song. Awful voice
Just an opinion JS. Hardly worthy of being a troll.
disrespect !!!!
