Awesome dude let me know how it goes! Glad you got a few chuckles from my novice ass hahaha also thinking about going Friday so hopefully get another vid out!
67dueceman haha you got that right! Net is first on the agenda and definitely thinking of other places for those crabs to go other than the family jewels 😂
Delaware Outdoors might help to put a 5gal bucket between your legs just for culling. Crabs look like they are running good over there. I stay in the Patapsco and they have really died off since the storms. Haven't even tried going out the past 2 weeks
Yeah thats not a bad idea, the only thing during the test trip I found was that having a sit inside kayak is tough to fit more things in, so something more comfortable at my lap would be nice. I'm still brainstorming haha. and wow thats a shame. Yeah been a rough season for you guys in Maryland with all this rain, hopefully they somehow find their way up this fall with a late season run!
Haha it sure is, of all the things i expected to happen that day sure wasn't that, but after talking to other kayak crabbers apparently its a regular occurrence hahaha
Honestly I don’t remember what the street name is, I went on google maps and found a dead end street that backed right up to the bay and there was enough room to park the truck and dump in
Great set up! Do you ever do any crabbing around Dewey? We used to use handlines from a dock a few miles to the right at the totem pole at Bethany back in the 80's. It was a nice trailer park that had a bunch of docks. We would catch a few dozen nice jimmies relatively quick.
You want to have fun? Go to the Chester river or Wye Mills in Maryland. Those crabs actually fight you, they’re ten times as active as in Delaware, never could figure out why. They are way bigger and taste better too.
Haha dude its a lot of fun. It definitely helps to have some comfort handling crabs, I kept dumping them at my feet and just holding em there. It's a very tight space as you can see with that one getting right in my lap hahaha
Hey man, loved the video. I actually live right there and was wondering how deep you're crabbing in and if I could catch them this time of year. Thanks
Oh man that'd definitely be a challenge! I'm sure if you purchased a longer length kayak it really wouldn't be that bad. You can adjust your foot pedals, and open top where you are sitting inside will give you more room to spread out! Thanks glad you enjoyed, was a fun one to put together. Hope to get out again this week and have another video up by next weekend!
And I thought we were ambitious for bass fishing from the kayak with a homemade rod rack to carry 8 rods lol. Good stuff, check us out and sub us back!
Thats where we go kayaking, 2 mins from my house, (Bay Ridge Woods) but that grey car was there last time we went
Nice work man stay with it
Sorry for late response but appreciate it! Lot to come this year
I may try going out this weekend in my kayak. Great video man! Got a few good laughs

Thats an interesting way to do it FOR SURE ✌🏼
Might want to invest in good net, good set of gloves and if you're going to keep dropping them in your lap, a good cup lol

We’ve got kayaks but never used them for crabbing, sorta paranoid one will get loose and pinch me lol

It's only a few feet deep there maybe 2-4 feet! I've never crabbed this early in the year, but since it was so warm all winter I bet you could!
do you need a license to go kayak crabbing in rehoboth bay?
enjoyed the video.
Yes to crab anywhere in the state you need a license
What kind of square basket is that bro
Can you guys recommend and good places to go for crabbing? I heard holts state park. If they have dock or pier would be better.
Eugene never been to Holt’s, before. Love creek bridge is pretty solid there’s a lot of room there for more than one person too
Nice dude thats some good eatin
Are you just placing your lines wherever or is there vegetation down there?
Nah i think theres dead bodies down there that attract the 🦀

Solo skiff
Is that a public launch or community only bud?
Its public! It's at the end of a public road, don't have to go into any communities to access it!
