    Your video is informative. I see that the setup process is relatively easy.
    I would like to be sent the welder setting chart. Good effort. Continue.

      Use the 110 plug. Cheater plug. Welder works off of both 240 and 110. I've settled aluminum and steel.

      @@DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10 thanks for the hit back! I purchased the 250pro a couple of months ago and have only used it on a couple of small jobs. My only complaint is that I have trouble dialing it in. I’m running 035 flux core at the moment and it does well but I know it can do much better. Do you know where I can find a chart in inches?

    The weld settings chart doesn't go higher than material that's 0.196" thick (slightly more than 3/16"). Have you figured out the settings for thicker material such 1/4", 5/16", and 3/8"? Any recommendations?

    • @DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10
      @DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10  2 роки тому

      I usually just look up mig settings using a google search or the Miller weld settings app on my phone for the material thickness I'm wanting to weld. Then I'll use those settings as a starting point and fine tune from there. A lot of the charts or setting you'll find on a google search will have the wire feed speed in inches per minute but as you know the MIG 250 PRO is shown in meters per minute. A super easy way to convert is memorize 39.37. One meter per minute equals 39.37 inches per minute. When I see a recommended wire feed setting in inches per minute I just divide that number by 39.37 and you know what to set your MIG 250 pro to for wire feed speed.
      1/4" steel example using the miller mobil settings app:
      .035 wire - 360 - 380 ipm (9.14 - 9.65 mm)
      75/25 mix gas 21-22 volts
      I'll usually start with the lower settings and work up from there. I use this method for all my settings and don't even use the chart that came with the welder anymore.

    Hi, can you do a step by step installation of the Graphene liner to use
    the Aluminum spool. The manual is so vague and pictures in the manual is
    blurred.The few Yeswelder videos on the Liner are incomplete or not

    Thanks for the videos on this welder. I just subscribed and hit the bell. I'm trying to decide between this and the 205DS. I'm confused why some welders, like the Titanium Unlimited 200, require a spool gun for aluminum but this one doesn't.

    • @DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10
      @DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10  3 роки тому

      Thank you for your support Phillip, I appreciate it! My understanding is the biggest issues with running aluminum in a MIG is problems with feeding the soft aluminum wire to the MIG gun. You can have feeding problems with trying to feed through a long MIG torch lead. That's why a spool gun has a very short distance from the wire spool to the tip of the gun. (maybe 8 inches at the most) A MIG gun lead will be several feet long. The soft aluminum wire can easily bind up in the lead and cause feeding issues. The YesWelder MIG gun lead is 10' if I remember correctly. And they give you a teflon liner to replace the steel spring wire liner that's used for steel wire. I think the 250 pro machine can weld aluminum. I don't know how well because I've never tried it, however I don't think it's ideal. I think the best would be to use a spool gun if you were going to MIG weld aluminum all the time. Basically I think it's mostly a marketing and cost cutting thing. The 205DS will also weld aluminum if you install a spool gun. Personally I don't intend to MIG weld aluminum, I have TIG machines that will do that much better than a MIG machine. Some people want one machine that will do it all and I think the 250 pro is marketed toward that type of customer. For MIG welding steel, I think either machine (250 pro or 205DS) would be a great machine and value for the price in comparison to other machines in that price range. I really like the 250 Pro so far! Good luck with your search 😀

      30-250 amps for MIG on the 250 Pro machine. His might be 40 but he has the earlier model machine. They have changed a few things on the newer machine. Just a note, if you post links in a comment the comment won't post. It goes to a spam folder and eventually disappears. I can see the comments momentarily before they disappear but if I don't get to them shortly after they are posted I'll never see the comment.

    Bruce - Have you verified the Mig-250 output? I recently purchased the Mig-250 and tested the output with my DC clamp meter - 201.8 maximum amperage of output. Using synergistic mode, the output is even lower. Thinking I will return the machine. If the panel output is that far off, I'm thinking all normal settings would need customized.

    • @DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10
      @DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10  3 роки тому +1

      I haven't verified the output of my machine. I do not have a DC clamp meter available for testing. Interesting to see what your test results were. I'm really not surprised though. I've seen many videos of these cheap Chinese machines with output power different then displayed or claimed. Personally I'm not concerned about what it actually puts out as long as it welds what I'm wanting to weld. Remember, I'm a hobby welder not a professional. I suppose that's the difference between a budget hobby machine compared to a much higher end machine that costs 4 or 5 times the price of the YesWelder. If it's not working for your needs I don't blame you for wanting to send it back.

      No AC TIG, only DC TIG. Some people have done DC aluminum TIG but it is not the preferred method for aluminum in most cases.
