The picture of the doll in 7:02 “Journey” is on Etsy. Like that exact picture.
Side note: I’m pretty sure I just got scammed by a seller on Etsy. She hasn’t responded to any of my messages since I made the purchase. She was supposed to send me pictures of hair swatches but never did and I saw the exact same pictures of the doll I ordered on someone else’s shop. My item says “shipped” but USPS doesn’t have my package. She also conveniently shut down her shop shortly after I messaged her asking where my doll was and she got a bad review from someone else saying she asked for her money back but the seller wouldn’t unless she changed her review...taking it up with Etsy today.
I did have a good experience on Etsy before with a reborn so I didn’t think twice...

I got scammed on Etsy too. This woman said on her shop that she got into reborns after her infant son passed away. I asked her for more pictures and she sent them to me. Then she gave me information about the doll. I ordered it and never got it. I saw other people post reviews on the shop and said they never got it either. This woman had the nerve to message me that she shipped the baby and it was a fake tracking number. Luckily I screenshot everything before the shop shut down and I got my money back.

Yes always remember that silicone vinyl doesn't exactly exist, well it does but when you combine them together they produce a very toxic chemical.
I have a tip for any people buying reborns always look at the review before you buy the doll please don’t get scammed!

When I was watching this video a scam site Popped up thank you kelli for helping everyone because I know how it feels to be scamed because before I even watched this video I bought a doll that was "silicone vinyl" and now I realize that's not even a real thing so this doll was factory doll not a reborn so I want to thank you for making this video to prevent other people from getting scammed

I feel like there are more scammers in the reborn community than anywhere else I’ve ever seen! It’s so hard to sell my Reborns because of all of the scammers! Thanks so much. I was suspicious when I saw the same photos on different websites and you have confirmed this. I would love a true artist designed silicone baby but can't afford the price which I do realise is due to time, effort and wonderful skill put into producing a lovely quality baby. You get what you pay for!

I bout a reborn from a scam site but did not know it cause I was and still am new to the reborn community. I have a doll but actually fixed her up and cleaned her but sill she is not the same, and Kelli thank you so much for making this video it has taught me so much more about scamming and what to watch out for. Krazy Ks you should be very careful and I wouldn’t let her around children. These materials aren’t regulated and could be very toxic
The only reason you would be able to get multiple of the exact same baby, is if the baby is factory made, and the factory made babies are actually beautiful and for a good price ☺️
ikr i have one handmade doll that i got from santa but other than that i have 4 reborns in general and 3 of them are factory made and i love them so much
How much when you bought
I actually got scammed a couple years ago, me and my mom were looking for a reborn to buy for my birthday, and I honestly can't remember what the website was called but we found this beautiful baby doll and I was so excited when I watched my mom buy the baby for $175. But when it came in the mail it was this really ugly baby, not to mention it was disassembled. We sold it at a garage sail recently thankfully.
Also the Twin A they named Kara is not made by them. That baby was painted by Silvia Creations and that doll would probably be about $800 or $900 because she is a very high-end artist

They are hardly even painted, and the paint they do have is horrible or dripping in globs 🤢 they are suuuper shiny, the hair rooting and material is just.. 🤢 I watched a video once and the lady said her and her daughter waited FOREVER and finally got their “full silicone” doll, it was cloth body and hard plastic... it (obviously) looked horrific. So I guess the website said “100% money back guarantee” so when they tried to get a refund and told the company all the stuff they basically were like “we can give you back like $10 to cover the cost of the clothes” or something like that and went back and forth with the company for like a week and ended up filing a dispute against the company through PayPal and then the company found out asked why they were doing that and told them to drop it. The mom and daughter ended up winning. So they only had to pay for shipping the doll back which online it said all their dolls are made in California... lies. They had to mail the doll back to China which ended up costing them like $70!!! How annoying! I’d watched unboxing videos before and as soon as I saw the box it was shipped in I was like theres literally NO WAY that’s gonna be a legit beautiful reborn doll.

Look, I found this website not too long ago and I saw ALL the cute babies I can find off if there, but me now realizing this want to say THANK YOU SO SO SOOOO MUCH! If I hadn’t watched this video and had already ordered this I could’ve in A LOT of trouble.
Glad I found this before buying my first one as the first website is actually where I was going to order from and buy the first one on the row. Gutted now I know this but so relived at the same time.
I'm starting to realize that me and my daughter were ripped off. We chose a baby by a mix oko reborn artist for on sale at $60. Or so. Named gabriella li. It isnt being very trackable and the thing disappeared in some asian country and is not reachable. My daughter was promised this doll, for being brave and undergoing a recent major surgery. This is heartbreaking to me as i cannot afford these dolls especially now as we are lookong for a new place to live😣 i guess we were just stupid. It was supposed to be a full silicon baby and I'm feeling pretty dumb for leading my mother into buying this. Such a shame. Now we are just set back all this much and no doll. I dont know what to do now. This really sucks.

I’m so sorry! A good site on Amazon that’s legitimate is vollence! They have silicone dolls that are well made and are painted, their most expensive is like 400 and least 100. I hope she gets a baby:(
almost a year ago i bought a doll from that exact website. after 3 weeks of trying to get a refund and/or the doll, it finally came. it was AWFUL, to say the least. it had the worst shading, horribale unlike the photos, and not to mention the "newborn size" doll i ordered was even taller than most todler dolls with a vinyl plastic matirial. the box was destroyed when we got it and without even opening it i knew it was a scam. thankfully we got our money back and never ordered from one of those awful sites again. now i am less nieve and now better introduced to the reborn communitie. im sorry for anyone that has ordered from one of these scam sites and didnt get a refund and/or the doll.

Shana Morgan I bought one from amazon after the scam! It was a $200 14 inch silicone doll! It was really great and I would recommend it. Amazon does have some great dolls, but some are cheap like the ones she posted in the video

I fell for a similar scam a year or two ago, not for a reborn doll but for a high-end plush toy. Same method, the scam seller had stolen photos from the original artist to pass off as their own, and sent me a cheap imitation knockoff which looked nothing like what was advertised. I really should have known there was no way the price could be legit, but- live and learn, I guess.
I got my doll Second handed by somebody that my mom knows I got it for around $150 i’m so lucky and fortunate to have a real reborn for the price that I got it 🍼❤️😊

I got a baby from amazon and the box said “Reborn Dolls” like as it was from that website but she was in perfect condition. I got it from amazon. I love her anyways, I’m now scared abt the chemical thing. My dad wasted so much money on it. Luckily it was on amazon and we can do a refund. Hey yall! My sis told me about this Reborn dolls websites. When I am came across your video, I am glad that I didn’t buy the doll from that website, because I don’t wanna get SCAMMED. Reborn’s cost 1,000 dollars and up. If you want a good reborn baby doll, save up your money, especially if you want a good doll. I see a lot of videos on how people got scammed buying dolls from Reborn baby. They will just take your money and run. Reborn’s doesn’t cost no 100.00… that’s why people should not rush to get a baby doll right away, always ask questions from the owner. And ask for more photos too.

I’ve been chasing these particular scammers, and warning people, since last summer. We have a Facebook page dedicated to it. They’ve gotten so many people, from all around the world. I’m glad youtubers are talking about it because kids follow their videos and tell their parents they want one of the dolls, and their parents google it, and the scams are the first to come up!

I think i first watched her in 5th grade (yea back when you only had 3 baby alives) and now im a sophomore (soon to be junior) in high school. I lowkey forgot about her for like 3 or 4 years but wOaH all of the memories of watching her like... I was so excited when I heard she was here but when I opened her she did not look real what so ever but, in the photo she looked very realistic and it was very expensive so I am sad. Not as real what the site shows, but still as real as Paradise Galleries dolls, or Bradford exchange, and I’m happy I was lucky enough to actually get a cute doll! Me and my friend saved up, and bought two dolls from this website. The same night we purchased them, I found a scam video on this site. My mom emailed this website, told them we knew it was a scam, and wanted a refund and to cancel our order. They emailed back within 24 hours saying the order was cancelled, and we will be refunded.
