This is by far the most CHAD build in the entire game. Build link: hardstuck.gg/gw2/builds/warrior/power-spellbreaker/ Greatsword variant of the build: ua-cam.com/video/DmbN4-BC3WU/v-deo.html Great DPS Benching over 40K on the golem, Amazing CC, Nearly Permanent self Stability, insane sustain for an overall easy to perform DPS rotation. Make sure to use the timestamps if you want to skip sections of the video or if you want to go back and find something you might not remember properly. EDIT: Small mistake, Hammer 5 doesn't actually do 700 breakbar damage, it deals 300 baseline and 400 on enemies with Weakness on them, the tooltip is just bugged and confused me as well in the moment. Thank you for watching, if you have any questions ask them below!
You went above and beyond, this time. You really capture and elaborate what it feels like to be a spellbreaker, and HOW. Obviously, your examples given are for raids, but Hidden in this video, is the 5head explanation, of how to think like a "Warrior" in every game mode. WELL DONE, Mr. Strimmer pogCHAMP.
This guide is an absolute masters class in Spellbreaker. Someone give this man a paycheck so he can give us all the rest! taste good friend! more please
Thanks, I learned a few tricks I didn't know before. I'm glad this spec exists compared to Zerker Banner that I ran in fractals a few years ago. Even though SpB is DPS, it's nice when you're able to get extra value out of the niche skills like Full Counter or the elite skill.
I prefer the Mending variant. Popping Sig of Fury at the beginning is virtually no dps loss if you also open with Winds and Breaching Strike. The stacks of Attacker's Insight you can get in 4 seconds make up for the Precision you lose on signet cooldown. This also works well if you're in mid-fight and suddenly HAVE to emergency burst again. If you've been in combat a while, chances are you already have enough ongoing stacks of AI to not feel the -180 Precision. You just have to be careful with timing and use it situationally, but it can be a life saver.
Awesome coverage and breakdown of Spellbreaker. Really helps to know how to do and think about the rotations. Now, if I can only do this under pressure!
you finally made a build this old man with 300 ping can get behind! You made Warrior fun again and I aint squishy. Cheers, was alot of work and appreciated.
wow, what a thorough guide on the rotation, thanks man. understand the reason why we push those buttons sure helps to remember the rotations. I'll be sure to try and hit har with this build :D If only someone could teach me catalyst in that same way
The moment you worry about your dmg.. and then realize you didnt apply any conditions to the golem... Thank you for the great video.. every video like this makes me instantly want to play the class...was the same with SB =D
A am stunned by the fact how less effort is required for this build to apply damage with so many instances and other classes have to put more effort or sacrifice survivability... This is unbelievable. I hope we all can enjoy the game the same way on all classes.
Yo, I'll be honest, I haven't heard every word of the video, tho I got some questions that you may not have adressed (I at least couldnt find the answer). 1. Is it ever worth dodging CC to keep your stab? Or is it better to tank the CC, lose the stab, but keep the DPS uptime? 2. Are there any ways to very easily abuse full counter? I know you can use Sabetha flak for it, but are there other similar methods available? (you brought up Sloth, I didnt even think of that) 3. When I'm abusing full counter I end up without Adren for Hammer F1, is it worth overusing Dagger F1, or should I always prioritize having at least enough adrenaline for Hammer F1? (nevermind, this one is answered) Though, is it ever worth using F2, and not recasting the reset skill, but instead use the F2 just for the AI stacks? 4. Is there much harm in using dagger 3->4 instead of 4->3? Or do u just miss out on 1 stack of AI for the axe 4 in the opener? 5. Im using Mending as a heal skill instead because I use the dagger opener version of the build (ua-cam.com/video/3Th9IymsPBM/v-deo.html). I notice you're mostly just focusing on the Hammer Opener version, is the Dagger Opener just a bait and Hammer is just always better or do they both have their strengths and weaknesses, and if so, what are they?
I would say you only want to dodge attacks that would both remove your stab and put you under 90% hp at the same time. If you don't dodge those, you will lose both stab and scholar uptime, if it only loses you stab but you keep scholar it will usually be fine since you have multiple stacks of stab and you apply them quite often, if it loses you only scholar you should be healed back up very quickly + you have lots of self sustain. Mending is good, Dagger opener is really good, but the rotation is the exact same, only difference is you start on dagger and use bubble at the start there, instead of hammer, the rest of the rotation is the same, so if you understand the build either one will be good, dagger might be better in some fights but it will vary depending on phases or fights. Using dagger 3 instead of 4 is fine but it will make your cooldowns a little weird for the rest of the rotation, if you wanna do it that way go ahead, doesn't matter too much, You might wanna delay dagger 3 sometimes for extra cc so using axe 4 first could be betterin that case. Using extra F1's by using full counter is better on dagger, you wanna do it on hammer only if there's an attack that you can use F2 on while you are stuck on hammer or if you wanna do extra CC with it, otherwise extra dagger F1's are better - extra leaps, extra boon strip, extra damage. Exactly how to use F2 to reset F1 is explained in the last section of the video, I would just watch that, it's easier than typing it honestly. Very good questions, thank you for watching the guide!
Guys, in the next expension, what are the best 3 professions to play with a hammer? and can you play with a shield and have decent damage too? what would be the top 3 with shield?
Can you do the guide for pVirt as well? i find its concept is straightforward to understand but it's hard to execute it well without all the small details/knowledge such as queuing/canceling skills or how to fix the rotation properly in real fights.
For open world the Gs variant will provide you and your squad more offensive boons passively and you have more movement skills. The hammer variant has more CC, self sustain and defensive stuff in general, the dps in an open world setting is probably the same between the 2 under non optimal buffs. I prefer the hammer build because its a more complete build and will perform better in most instanced fights in the game
At the start of the rotation of dagger, if you press 4 once and then 3 once really fast, pressing 3 will cancel 4. The only solution is to press 4 and wait for it then press 3. This can fuck up the rotation pretty badly. Is there any solution for this? LE: just reached the part where you mention this, so there is no other solution, sadge.
Hello mela! I just finished watching and I wanna ask is there a variation that makes dagger 2 earlier in the opener? I am playing at avg. 250 ping and its kind of hard to squeeze dagger 2 in the opener.
is there a reason why we use dagger 4 > dagger 3 and not the other why around. especially in the opener woulldnt we like have one more stack of AI before axe4?
It's mostly due to cooldowns lining up since axe 4 has a cast time and dagger 3 pretty much doesn't, If you do it the other way around, it will be messed up for the next time and for the rest of the rotation. If you prefer doing dagger 3 and axe 4 after you can do that, it won't be an insane difference

Although the content is very knowledgeable on the topic presented, the presentation is boring, much like a monotonous professor delivering a dull college lecture. Too much theoretical talk and not much actual demo. Instead of talking and jumping around the screen during the rotation portion, you could have just shown it on a golem, and still talk about it. 🤷♂

Thank you for this sir. I don't play warrior very much and this helps me to learn it better. :)
