- Two fissure vents feed a growing lava lake at the bottom of Halema‘uma‘u crater. A preliminary calculation of volume suggests that since the start of the eruption on December 20, 2020, approximately 8-10 million cubic meters of lava have been erupted. This is equivalent to over 2 billion gallons, the volume of 3,000 Olympic-sized swimming pools.

Thanks!
Amazing view!! 😍🌋
Is it just me, or is there a lot of volcanic activity in the last couple of days? Sicily, Japan and now Hawaii?
Yes the world is coming to an end......... There is always volcanic activity if you look for it.
Italy and Mexico too. Stars are fairly lined up this time of year.
I just wonder if anyone's checked the radiation level of that lava coming from deep within the Earth's mantle
Fill it up to the rim
Nils Hammarsten what side has the lowest edge?
Quote lamb of God:reclamation, "the elements reclaim what was taken". Difference between the earth and man; perfect distribution of all that's in the balance.
Merry Christmas
