You were one of the few med student vloggers that I look up to and watch to get a source of inspiration. I started to get productive in my tasks and agendas and pour all efforts on my studies. Hello, Doc Shayne. I'm sorry to hear you won't be vlogging anymore (for the time being). I do understand, however, what it's like to to feel the need to close some doors in order to open some new ones. We've all been there, I believe. Still, I want to thank you for the past year. I discovered you here on YT not so long ago but the impact you've made in my life is quite astounding. See, I entered this pandemic as a laid off teacher but seeing your med school vlogs reignited my childhood dream of becoming a doctor. With plenty of spare time in my hands, I decided to try and take the NMAT and if I get decent scores, then apply for med school and if I got in the med school of my choice, then enroll. My plans were basically "one day at a time" type of plan. I didn't plan too far off into the future in fear of disappointing myself. There were times when I really felt like giving up and just look for a new job but watching med school vlogs (yours included, of course) really kept me going. I hid my plans from everyone except my immediate family and best friends because I had very low expectations, given how I've been out of the academe for 4 years already and really rusty with the basics of Science. In the end, however, I got a really good NMAT rating and got into my med school of choice. As of writing, I am now in my 1st year of med school. Everyday is proving to be tougher than the last and the doubting myself part as well as the wanting to give up part never stops. And yet here I am. Thanks to the many strangers on the internet like yourself who unknowingly inspire countless med students on their journey towards something bigger than all of us. ❤️ It helps to know that you are not alone and that people who had to go thru the same thing as you has come out of it victoriously. Makes you see things in a more positive light. ✨ With that being said, apologies if my comment has gotten this long. You said naman na we can comment anything so here it is. Basically, in a nutshell, what I'm trying to say is thank you, for your content for the past year that I've been a subscriber, and I wish you well in all that you are doing rn and all that you will decide to do in the future. I remember that time, I was thinking of what pre-med course I should get since college is approaching for me and I bumped into your videos and it helped me to follow my heart on choosing a course and until now that I am on my way to my second semester as a first year college I still found your videos motivational, especially for people like me who is a aspiring health care professionals. You were one of the few med student vloggers that I look up to and watch to get a source of inspiration. I started to get productive in my tasks and agendas and pour all efforts on my studies. Hello, Doc Shayne. I'm sorry to hear you won't be vlogging anymore (for the time being). I do understand, however, what it's like to to feel the need to close some doors in order to open some new ones. We've all been there, I believe. Still, I want to thank you for the past year. I discovered you here on YT not so long ago but the impact you've made in my life is quite astounding. See, I entered this pandemic as a laid off teacher but seeing your med school vlogs reignited my childhood dream of becoming a doctor. With plenty of spare time in my hands, I decided to try and take the NMAT and if I get decent scores, then apply for med school and if I got in the med school of my choice, then enroll. My plans were basically "one day at a time" type of plan. I didn't plan too far off into the future in fear of disappointing myself. There were times when I really felt like giving up and just look for a new job but watching med school vlogs (yours included, of course) really kept me going.
I hid my plans from everyone except my immediate family and best friends because I had very low expectations, given how I've been out of the academe for 4 years already and really rusty with the basics of Science. In the end, however, I got a really good NMAT rating and got into my med school of choice. As of writing, I am now in my 1st year of med school. Everyday is proving to be tougher than the last and the doubting myself part as well as the wanting to give up part never stops. And yet here I am. Thanks to the many strangers on the internet like yourself who unknowingly inspire countless med students on their journey towards something bigger than all of us. ❤️ It helps to know that you are not alone and that people who had to go thru the same thing as you has come out of it victoriously. Makes you see things in a more positive light. ✨
With that being said, apologies if my comment has gotten this long. You said naman na we can comment anything so here it is. Basically, in a nutshell, what I'm trying to say is thank you, for your content for the past year that I've been a subscriber, and I wish you well in all that you are doing rn and all that you will decide to do in the future. Those moments when you showed vulnerability made me feel that I’m not alone in the struggles of life, and that day by day we can always choose to keep going to reach for our dreams ✨. Hoping this time for yourself and loved ones help you find yourself again.
