      The chess question should have said "only diagonally". Only the rooks and, depending how you are taught, maybe the knights. All the other pieces can move diagonally.

      Thanks for your comment! In a previous quiz, we asked a question along the lines of "how many pieces are only capable of landing on a square of the same colour", which is more or less the same thing as "only diagonally"... well, the same answer at least.
      For this question, I didn't consider a knight to be moving diagonally. But as you say, it comes down to how you were taught as I was told "it's an L shape" :)
