Watch the whole video carefully. I made long 3 long wallets before and wasn't bad, but just like this did not make. You have good experience in curving looking at your other works. I have all the tools for curving, but never made wallets, only used to make a knife sheath and camera case. The curving flower needs more practice. I observed that first, you used acrylic lacquer and then antique finish. Is due to blackening the curving area too dark? I have several patterns but all with flaps. Thanks for the Pattern and details work.

The floral tooling is exceptionally good work, I like the design also. Did you lose focus on the basket weave stamping? I find large basket weave areas difficult to maintain concentration. I find your videos very helpful for helping me to improve my skills, I hope to one day achieve your level of skill.

Im impressed by the quality of your work and your skill level. However, from an educational/instructional perspective I think your video could have been so much better with narration.
@@bitchen Thank you. I've been a hobby leather worker for many years but I still learn a lot from videos like yours. The only question I have, and maybe it's a suggestion, is that the leather be given a colour before you start working on it. I often do this with alcohol based dyes, but I don't know if it also works with the professional oil-based dyes because I don't use them. I don't know if leather can still be carved after the dye has been applied. I personally have never liked the natural colour of vegetable tan leather. Thank you again!
@@wm17959 Whether water-based or oil-based, if you are going to carve, it is better to do it before dyeing. The reason is that it is highly likely that the leather will harden little by little, whether oil-based or water-based.

Sometimes the dye does not go down into the deep parts of the carving while the raised parts are already too dark. What type, oz. etc. of leather would you choose to use for this project? I'm new and this is probably beyond my skills at this time but I like to challenge myself and use time effectively and not waste money and energy. Patience will get you through. Thanks.

This kind of work takes about a day.

초보자가 구입해야 하는 카빙도구...는 특별히 없고요.
바스켓 문양 정도만 하신다면 약4개 정도의 툴이 필요하지만...쉐리던을 하신다면 좀더 많은 툴이 필요할 수 도 있고요.

Hi, I follow with pleasure you. I wonder something. What's your purpose of using tokonole back of the card holder ? Only hardening or anything else. ?
The reason I use Tokonole is to keep the back of the leather clean.
It makes the surface also smoother
