Watching your masterpiece is so satisfying that it conciliates the backstab of the season finale. Maya is a stickler for rigid codes, however, in this season, it's clear that she grew more toward a sensation-oriented person. She was closer to her team in a way that is more of a friend than a captain and even tolerated multiple insubordinate acts from her crew. For example, she risked losing her promotion prospect not only to allow them but also be with them marching protests. Or, when Vic refused to stand down even Maya just commanded her to do so, she didn't reprimand or punish, instead, she showed empathy and support. As she altered in many ways, her response to stress, her handling of friendship and leadership, her mentalities when it comes to love's tiff, jealousy, and conflicts, she proves how much she wanted and was willing to change to deserve Carina. And, I love it about Maya. This season built up a strong, relatable, and touching rapport among station 19 and their kin included, but somehow at the end, they made an insufferable circumstance for Maya, which made me go berserk. Need I remind us that the last time she ever complied with those rules she almost caused a tragic life for the two girls held captive in a pedophile's cellar and directly had her crew quelled down by the cops because they were trying to save these poor girls. This time, she disobeyed the safety protocol and also direct orders of the incident officer so that the injured boy could have at least a shot at being alive.

it is scary how i recognise myself in maya’s insecurities
the fact that the whole station 19 and teddy alway rooting for maya and carina to be together.because they can see how they complete each other despite their arguments and demons
after going back to watch Carina's 1st appearance in GA onwards, Carina and Maya are really soulmates... although they have fights, but their relationship different compared to relationships they had before (or what we know of their relationships)... Maya didn't believe in monogamy nor did she show so much emotions until she met Carina. Carina's apparently had many relationships that didn't last or are just casual but when she met Maya, she also changed. I hope they don't break up this ship.
