  • Donald Trump voters told us why billionaires have too much power.
We visited a Trump rally in search of an honest conversation with Donald Trump's supporters about politics and policy, and we got it.
Trump voters told us about some of key issues they want to hear discussed on the national stage, and it’s a message that people across the political spectrum can get behind.

If people agree with you that's great you might be doing something right or you might be manipulated and unbenounced, promoting a fallacy. Like the fallacy that Trump doesn't care. He lost about a billion thats $1,000,000,000 give or take a hundred million for being president. First president in a looooong time who's net worth went down not many many times higher after office like Bush Clinton and Obama. He donated all but $1 of his paychecks for being president and he didn't donate that $1 because you're required to take at least one dollar. He could be a darling in the eyes of the media and liberal arts entertainment like he was pre 2015, but he gave it up because he loves America and loves Americans and couldn't stand by while America was being destroyed. Believe whatever you want but the narratives your told don't align with the actions and policies and consequences of Trump running for president.

Whose greed? Those people who belong to unions or have investments likely have retirement funds held and managed by Blackrock or Vanguard. The products we buy come from large corporations because they are better and cheaper. That’s us. Corruption is when those we vote for take money we don’t know about, then do things that benefit those who paid rather than those who voted. Until those who do that-both those elected and those directly giving the money to them for favors-are put in jail, nothing will change. Trump never did that. Biden has and still is right now.

I also understand the moderate right, as I have plenty of conservatives within the family. I remember the traditional (now less common) mindset of a conservative -it wasn't fascist, it never stood for overthrowing government. It stood for family values, patriotism, smart spending on policies that actually work, and maintaining a strong military. The traditional republican is so much less common these day. -But desperately needed to run a complete government. you can't have one party. This was the first video of Trump supporters that didn't sound unhinged. they sounded real.

They rejoiced over "winning" a 30 billion pay increase, or whatever. Do they understand where that 30 billion will come from? Every time you "tax the corporations" or get a settlement, or a pay raise, or whatever you think you won from "the rich guys", you need to understand where that money is going to come from. Just like with minimum wage: yea you get $15 an hour now, but your boss had to raise prices or go out of business to get that money for you, and everything will now cost you more.
You can call them "greedy CEO's" but none of you will do the work to set up such a company just to split the profits with your employees. No, you'll go ask someone ELSE for a job, instead.
When you "tax the big corporations" - the CEO pays NOTHING. YOU pay those taxes, in higher prices and cheaper products that don't last. YOU pay for the worker's pay raises, in higher prices for that companies products or services, and whether you buy them or not, someone you have to pay for SOMETHING has to pay the higher prices, and they will pass them on to YOU.
That's why price fixing doesn't work, either. It just implodes the production lines and kills the markets for their raw materials, and makes everyone suffer with lower wages and higher prices.
In capitalism, you can't expect to be well off in a wage earning job [and in socialism it's even worse]. You have to multiply your output, through employees to be one of the rich guys. But people grow tired of working their jobs and take it all for granted, and want more, from comparing themselves with others and nurturing dissatisfaction instead of gratiude for always having enough to eat and a place to live. If GOOD is not good enough, we will sabotage ourselves and have nothing.

His only tax cuts served LARGE, billion dollar companies, his regulations rollbacks served large, billion dollar companies- and we’ve seen how some of those regulations being slashed have physically harmed people and communities. Not to mention Trumps endless grift - ripping off his base daily through the use of fear mongering. It’s just weird.

You probably should talk to Trump supporters instead of listening to news media. I am one, and I want America back, not the evils of the past, but a country where people support each other. Where as an adult you can do whatever you want to do. Where children are safe, and not having their innocent minds corrupted. We call ourselves Patriots because we believe in what America is supposed to be. We are proud of our flag because it represents thousands of Americans that put on a uniform and went to other countries to fight so our homeland, didn't have to live in the destruction of war. I was born in 1964, I have lived through desegregation, the Vietnam War, Dessert Storm, and 9-11. The proudest time in my life was 9-12, the day after I witnessed thousands of people murdered just because they went to work. On 9-12 every yard, building and street was covered in American flags. People were lined up for blocks in every town donating blood, gathering water bottles to send to New York for the rescue workers. People, all people in this country were united, ready to do what needed done. Firefighters from all over America went to New York to recover our people. We prayed, a lot. It was a horrible tragedy, but America was one. I believe we each have a right to vote as we see fit. I won't hate you for disagreeing, all I ask is the same respect. The news media wants us divided, watch something like a Trump speech. Listen to what he says, then watch the way the media spins it. Once you see it, you will understand. My awakening happened in 2016. Once you see it you can never unsee it. Our government is a mess, and it is being exposed, it is supposed to be made up of every day people like me and you. Not politicians, that care about getting rich. It's up to is to fix it. For our children and grandchildren. Listen to how politicians speak, in labels, white, black, gay, straight, Republican, Democrat. As if we are only one thing, and can be placed neatly in a box. I am white, I am Conservative, but I am also a mother, grandmother, Pipefitter, Christian, and an American. I don't fit in a single box, and neither do you. I promise we agree on more than we disagree on. Because we all buy groceries, we all buy gas, we all work, we all try to provide the very best for our families. The media and politicians don't want us to talk, because if we do we will discover we don't fit into a single box, in fact we don't fit in a box at all, we need our big ol country to hold us. I am Conservative not your enemy. Much love

The problem is that moderates won't vote for left wing populists... And the middle has shifted left since almost every GOP candidate is too extreme anymore. But if you had Bernie Sanders vs Trump? Trump would win every time. Why? Two reasons:
      1. The right -- including the Never Trumpers -- is united against left wing populism;
      2. Moderate Democrats would vote 3rd party because they're too self-righteous to see the damage in voting for a 3rd party in non-ranked-choice elections.

The corrupt Republican leadership and corrupt Democrat leadership hate him. Why is that? It's because he tried to stop our forever wars across the world that made politicians of both parties wealthy. You probably know plenty about how various Republican politicians or their families. Do you know about how Democrat's cashed in too? James Biden made a killing in Iraq on government contracts. The same is happening again in Ukraine. Trump had a peace deal negotiated with the Taliban and Biden broke it. Trump ordered US troops out of Syria but Generals lied about troop numbers so not all were withdrawn. Trump is a jerk. I don't like him as a person. I figure if he's hated so much by the people I dislike, especially from both parties, then he's probably going to ruin their cons. Even if Trump was a con artist using his position as President for personal gain, he'd save the taxpayer money by ruining the rackets of both parties. I don't think Trump was using his position for gain. I think Jared Kushner, his son in law, definitely did. Trump is painted as some Right-wing extremist but he was a Democrat his entire life. It was also refreshing to see your perspectives and if we were at the table, I’m sure we could come up with better policies for the people than the current representatives we have in the State and Federal governments. This was a good video and some very decent and genuine people were interviewed.

@@karamelahi2808coming from a fellow Democrat: we need to be more full-throated about our positions and our opposition. I'm sorry to be partisan about this, but facts are facts. Every, single, topic, brought up in this video, is a policy position that Democrats in Washington have been trying to enact for decades. Workers rights, minimum wage, reducing the military, and countless other issues that benefit working people. And those things haven't been passed, or they've been passed after being severely watered down (like Obamacare), because of relentless opposition by Republicans. Period, full stop
So I get the frustrations of everyday people who don't sit around listening to NPR all day, they just want to live their lives and raise their families and just have things work in America, but that's not the system we're in. The system we're in has roughly half of our Congress in the Republican party, representing way less than half of the population, completely obstructing any laws that would help people through things like the Senate filibuster, the Supreme Court, and things like shutting down the federal government to force policy negotiations
It's not a politicians problem, it's a Republican problem. We can't solve issues if we're not identifying accurately what's actually happening. I get that Trump voters are against the system as a whole, but it's strange to me that they find a home on the left with Bernie Sanders. Folks, there's not a lot of daylight between Bernie Sanders and Democrats. The only difference is he's in Vermont, he's old, and he doesn't give a f---, so he goes super far on his policy ideas. But, Joe Biden tried passing $6T in domestic spending last year with Build Back Better, and he was stonewalled by Republicans in Congress. Joe Biden used his power as president to cancel a large portion of student debt when Republicans in Congress refused to, and he was blocked by the Supreme Court
We have to agree on facts here. Everything these Trump rally goers want, is literally in the Democratic Party agenda. They just choose to, or have been convinced into, believe a narrative that doesn't allow that to be true for them. And that's a real, shame

He is far from perfect but he really does want to make America into a country that anyone with some work ethic can make something from their lives. I feel like he is more genuine when I see him trying to help those on Medicare, & or the veterans that fought for this country. Like you can tell it pisses him off that our veterans are not getting the help they need. He totally did something about it. He is worth Billions he does not need to work or to take the time to make our country great. He was worth Billions before starting into politics and not as a result of a life of politics like Joe Biden. These reasons ae something I can get behind. I do not think he is perfect but the fact is 330 plus Million People to please of all classes of people & No one person is going to be perfect. But he is by far the lesser of the two Evils. I say God Bless Trump for trying to save our democracy. China Owns our Media and a very Large Percent of our politicians including the Biden's. But not just the Dems. Trump is more in tune with the people. Most that hate him do so because of the Russia, Russia, Russia lie and the fact the media has told them to many lies. That and his mean tweets but lets be real why would he not be mean to the Media? It has been Proven they spread lies about him from day one. Now they are just too damn proud to swallow their pride and say they was fooled.
He has been attacked since day one because he is not a politician and he does not need any favors from them or the corrupt Lobbyist and they are afraid he would stop the War Machine and try to balance the corrupt budget in this country! That simple!

Gaslighting, aka Grooming. Accusation in a mirror (AiM), mirror politics, mirror propaganda, mirror image propaganda, or mirror argument is a hate-speech incitement technique where one falsely attributes to one's adversaries the intentions that one has for oneself and/or the actions that one is in the process of enacting.
During the 1994 Rwandan genocide, accusation in a mirror was used by the Hutus, along with other propaganda techniques, to incite the genocide in 1999.
"A straw man fallacy is the informal fallacy of refuting an argument different from the one actually under discussion* while not recognizing or acknowledging the distinction. One who engages in this fallacy is said to be "attacking a straw man".
*The fallacy of begging the question occurs when an argument's premises assume the truth of the conclusion, instead of supporting it.* In other words, you assume without proof the stand/position, or a significant part of the stand, that is in question. Begging the question is also called arguing in a circle.
*Argument from incredulity* also known as argument from personal incredulity, *appeal to common sense* or the *_Divine fallacy_* (that is, pretending to be Omniscient, and infallible) is a fallacy in informal logic. It asserts that a proposition must be false because it contradicts one's personal expectations or beliefs, or is difficult to imagine, as if your beliefs have any empirical or tangible values
*The Gish gallop /ˈɡɪʃ ˈɡæləp/ is a rhetorical technique in which a person in a debate attempts to overwhelm their opponent by providing an excessive number of arguments with no regard for the accuracy or strength of those arguments. Gish galloping prioritizes the quantity of the galloper's arguments at the expense of their quality.*
*Bullshivic: (Bolshevik, bull, civic-minded, demagogue), someone who gains political power by appealing to people's emotion's instincts, & prejudices in a way that is considered manipulative & myopic; someone who incessantly reiterates the same petty complaints, until they are taken seriously.*
There are citizens with valid complaints & issues, but invariably the meeting will have to deal with some *Bullshivic & his personal gripe of "supreme importance".*
*Gaslighting is a psychological term used to describe* the process of *grooming* someone into believing that they are losing it or going crazy. *Gaslighting a child is perhaps the most egregious form of child abuse.*
Gaslighting is a common form of emotional/psychological abuse and can be used as a tactic in *grooming* children for abuse. The term comes from Gaslight (1944) a movie where the technique is used by the characters. *Gaslighting is sometimes also called “crazy making”.*
*In the context of child sexual abuse (CSA) the **_gaslighting_** is often used to convince the victim all the abusive behaviours are fine, normal and an expression of “love”. It is used to ensure the victim doesn’t speak out about it and doesn’t fight back. It can also be used in concert with other **_grooming_** tactics like fear and isolation.*
*Trivializing:* *The victim’s feels are made to feel like they don’t matter, are **_unfounded_** or they are weak for thinking so.*
*Countering: This is quintessential gaslighting.* *They **_directly counter the memories and perceptions of the victim._*
*Repetitive Questions: The abusive partner makes the victim doubt what they think or feel by asking the same question multiple times.* Questions are asked so many times the victim doubts their own answers.
*Diverting: The abuser diverts the subject and puts the blame into outside circumstances.*
      "What Others Say"
The abuser tells the victim what other people "think" about the victim, the abuser and/or the situation on whole. Also known as an appeal to populism, the basis of Authoritarian Communism, and Cults; "if many believe it then it must be true" (regardless whether people actually agree with the position or not). Bolshevism itself means "the Majority" and is no different to Fascist appeals to a "silent majority" when in truth they account for a mere 13%, equitable to ADD rates of 16%
All these tactics are employed to make a False Claim Fallacy: the *reliance of a premise on prior unsupported or unstated assumptions that turn out to be false*
A false assumption occurs whenever the truth of a premise depends on some necessary condition which is merely stipulated or *assumed to be present when it is not in fact present at all*
In other words, this fallacy assumes that _*whatever it takes to make a premise true is already there, even if it is really absent or unknown.*_. It's a slight of hand, a trick, by burying the lead in the opening assertion they push past the point of contention trying to get you to argue a case they never made in the first place.
      An example being
"when did you stop beating your wife?"
Also called a loaded question, or catch 22.
They then pretend to declare victory, knowing full well their crimes because only a guilty party needs to lie, let alone how to weaponise gaslighting for use in psychological warfare. And yet all right wing agents use the same scripts, parrot the same soundbites, and use the same logical fallacies; they all gaslight, despite claims of "independent thought" and their constant virtue signalling about identity politics. They also like to take a red herring and pretend it represents their opposition, Crowder and Walsh being big fans of this ambush/ guerilla politics.
This is their entire toolkit: Reverse Psychology, and Psychological warfare, the opposite of diversity is Authoritarian Communism, the opposite of Democracy is Dictatorship, Pro Life is Anti Freedom, Pro Second Amendment skips the first and more important freedom of self determination, probably the core reason for targeting Trans people.
We know for a Fact they exploit data mining and bot armies to boost their content that targets those most susceptible to groupthink and suggestion, esp those with ADD and ODD, always seeking to create "reasonable doubt" using focus groups and linguistic engineering, changing the meaning of words and constantly reframing the argument until ignorance is a virtue, and they only take their opinions from the Party above all else. It was Perfected in Palestine, and exported to the West via groups like Psy Group, BlackCube, Gatestone, the Federalist Society, and the _"International Democratic Union"_ a global right wing Thinktank.
Republicans _are_ America's Authoritarian Communists, America is a People's Democratic Republic with a Constitution, just like China, Iran, N Korea, and the USSR.
All of which have _less_ inequality.
Patriotism and Communism are synonyms, they just Orwelled us into believing we were "Capitalists" when in truth Republican Policies have always been about the redistribution of wealth, to the top .01%
_"The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command."_

Just one small problem. He didn't bring up the fact that Trump is a FCKN CRIMINAL. You can find skeletons in anyone's closet, especially politicians. But most aren't openly corrupt liars whose main concern is lining their pockets to the detriment of the country. None until Trump have openly violated the constitution to remain in power after a loss in an election. None have lied to the American people so casually and so many times, and for his personal benefit. None have tried so hard to divide the country with the sole aim to protect himself from the consequences of his actions. Trump would gladly end this democracy if it benefitted him. Now he is threatening a 'revenge tour' if re-elected. Talk of implementing what is called the Unitary Executive Theory. Basically, giving himself unlimited power, without and checks and balance, immune to the checks and balances of Congressional oversight, the courts, or the will of the people. Last world leader who tried to implement a similar policy was Mussolini.
What Trump wants is fascism, with him as Il Duce.
Trump has committed so many crimes since 2016, it's hard to keep track of them. Why didn't the interviewer bring up the fact that during any of these interviews? Why didn't he mention the fact that Trump was incompetent, an arrogant national disgrace, and continually made racist statements? The economy was better under Trump? Yeah, maybe a little, but the reason wasn't because of his savvy fiscal policies. It was because he gave corporations a HUGE tax break, one that for a while artificially propped up the economy. But it was temporary, and when the tax bill came due, the shortfall created by Trump's brain-dead policies caused inflation to be much worse than it otherwise would've been. Inflation that was at least partly caused by Trump's total bungling of the COVID pandemic. Obama left Trump a step-by-step pandemic playbook, a list of things that needed attention and a list of ways to curtail the negative economic effects a major health crisis would have on the US. What did Trump do with it? He threw it in the trash. Trump denied for six months there was even a problem, calling it like a serious case oof the flu. When the whole time he had gotten a trial version of the vaccine in late January. He lied for over six months about the seriousness of the COVID situation, THEN he tried to take credit for the vaccine.
Trump used his time as president to line his pockets. Between a 145$ million-dollar golf bill, most of which that went directly into Trump's pockets, to having visiting foreign dignitaries stay at one of his properties, that is of course if they wanted to get favorable treatment from him. All those accommodations were at inflated prices, which were then passed on to US taxpayers.
Things like diverting USAF flights away from their usual stopover location in the UK to a different location, specifically because there were no accommodations at that UK location for the flight crews, knowing they would have to stay at a nearby Trump property, which he gladly provided for, again an inflated price that, again US taxpayers paid for. The list of ways Trump scammed the US taxpayer is almost as long as the list of crimes he committed.
Biden is far from perfect. But Trump is a walking national security threat, a global embarrassment, a grifter, liar and racist, not to mention totally incompetent...and a CRIMINAL.

You know... All the folks that at the time said it was a bad idea and told us what the outcomes would be? What was your reaction to the slander and social abuse bandied about towards critics of Bush and the push for war in Iraq at the time? Did you notice said slander came from one side of the spectrum?
Because if you didn't notice all that then when it was no less obvious than today I have to look askance at your opinions on just about everything else, considering so much of the rationale for invasion we're supposedly based upon Conservative, Evangelical, and yes despite all their claims to the contrary, even Libertarian principles.

      Oh... And Jack left town.
So... With such a spectacular, if only now admitted disaster that can and should be laid at the feet of so many of our fellow citizens who wouldn't or couldn't see the obvious lies and corruption then of Bush and Cheney but are now flogging Trump... Why should anyone listen to folks that have such egregious judgement?
