Actress Paige Hurd Reveals Favorite DMX Memories, Last Moments with Him & Current Role on STARZ

Puerto-Rican American Actress Paige Hurd joined Cece Valencia to talk about her wholesome relationship with late rap legend DMX, her favorite memories with him, the struggles of child acting and her current role in the 'Power’ spinoff, ‘Power Book II: Ghost’ universe as Lauren Baldwin.
Paige opened up about bonding with DMX on the set of ‘Cradle 2 the Grave,’ asking the rapper to be her dad following the heartbreak of her parent’s divorce. Having two sons and wanting a daughter, DMX and his then-wife Tashera Simmons agreed to welcome Paige into the family.
Paige recounted her favorite memories with X, including him leaving her at the NY Airport, riding along for Kanye’s Coachella set, his favorite LA restaurant and his genuine kindness to everyone around him.
“The only thing rough about him was his voice,” she said.
Initially recognized as Tasha Clarkson on the CW sitcom Everybody Hates Chris, Paige discussed the struggles of child acting, craving a sense of normalcy after her EHC role and getting a job at the mall to keep herself humble.
Paige discussed her current role as Lauren on the popular STARZ drama and navigating how to react to 'Power' fans' flip-floppy opinions.
