The only downside is this does require double-sided wrapping paper like the kind they're specifically using. If you try this with any normal wrapping paper, those folds on the top would show the other side of the paper which is usually just white or has grid lines on it... 🙁

(let's consider side A > side B) Then to cover the back of the card, we'll need to have a little more(thumb width) than A/2, and to cover the top of the card, we'll need to have exactly A. so to cover a card of AxB dimensions, you'll need wrapping paper of dimension:- (2A+2B)x(1.5xA + thumbWidth) now ignore the boring part, understand it with an example: you have a card of dimensions 10x8cm so you'll need wrapping paper of dimensions: 36x17 (taking thumbwidth as 2cm. if using inches, 1inch will will be fine)
I would be considered the biggest uncultured wild animal if I lived in Japan because this effort is beautiful but so far beyond me. Here’s the American way: get a paper gift tote, put in some tissue paper, stick your gift in the middle. Zero work, and even then most people still do it much better than me!
