Protesting is not new. The cops always add fuel to the protests. This is not a new concept. Right wingers and religious people do not value intelligence. That's why they will keep being disappointed.
At UCLA and other universities protesters graffitied building facades, spray painted cut-stone steps and archways, plus other building features. The acrylic paint they used soaks into the crevices and small cavities of the brick and stone, and soap and water won't get it out. Neither will acid washing; and even if you paint it over it is going to look ugly. Beautiful and historic architecture has been permanently defaced. It's very sad. It's like seeing those videos of people tipping over natural rock formations at National Parks. Why do this?
These students really don't understand that they are really protesting for Hamas and they really don't know that hamas would do too them what they did too isreal this really needs to come 2 an end immediately !

They are not protesting for Hamas wtf is wrong with you? Why does not wanting the mass slaughter of innocent people= supporting Hamas? How emotional bankrupt do you have to be to make that equation?
The places that were destroyed were the ones police raided. The violence was perpetrated by police and outside agitators, but people want to blame the students who don’t want their tuition and tax dollars to fund war crimes. People really need to look inside themselves and rethink their priorities.

It has been 54 years, and the rhetoric on both sides is the same. reacted appropriately. They listened to the protesters and then responded appropriately. Just by listening they brought calm to the situation. Bringing in armed police or soldiers adds to the tension.
