- Опубліковано 9 чер 2024
- More investments and new food technology are being developed, that will have robots taking over commercial kitchens, and food businesses.
This video takes a look at the different ways robots and artificial intelligence are being used to cook for us, today and in the future. There is also the new business idea of ghost kitchens, kitchens that are set up just to make online food deliveries.
Companies highlighted in this future of food documentary video: Spyce Restaurant, Creator Restaurant, Miso Robotics and CaliBurger with the Flippy cooking assistant, Amazon and their Alexa enabled kitchen devices, the Sally salad vending machine by Chowbotics, Zume Pizza and their pizza making robot, ghost kitchens along with the online food delivery business industry and Uber Eats and Deliveroo.

About time we redefined femininity (purpose-wise, of course). No more "you can cook your own food" threats with this technology.

nice one :D
I love how they take their time making theses videos which also builds anticipation

One of the most binge-worthy channels I've ever had recommended to me. A very much needed injection of optimism in these times. Many thanks
I love the robot meme as the thumbnail XD. Once again excellent quality you guys are honestly my favourite channel. I don’t know anyone that produces this kind of content. Thank you again!
It’s even better than Business Casual. (What was my favorite channel 2 months ago)

Thank you..mostly just me working on these videos - Jacob
Eliminating people from being close to food, touching, breathing, sneezing, coughing, dripping sweat on it, it is a very good idea. I never eat food made away from me on the back in the restaurant.
Hey when you start getting millions of views just remember I was here from the beginning
Will do Josh
@@VentureCity i really love the style of your videos, and i really want to see you make a video on NEOM, its a futuristic smart megacity project with a 500B$ budget. They are going to officially announce the Designs & Masterplan of the city at the end of March so stay tuned,

the subjects you describe in your videos are, like, in the perfect space between abstract sci-fi and seamingly reachable. they also give ma a ton of business ideas. thanks for that!
Yes, i get also many ideas from his video’s.
@generalmonday Thanks for pointing that out. That is exactly what I am aiming for..
@audirsq8 Happy to hear that - that is my goal with the videos
The last part was an eye-opener. Humans traveling from ghost kitchen to ghost kitchen as contract labor as needed. Help with the prep, then deliver the meal, then move on to the next job. I just had a thought where popular chefs could provide recipes online for a commission, and ghost kitchens offer those dishes, and the chef gets a percentage of the payment as well.
called work at home
Highly underrated channel. Content and narration unfathomed for such a small channel
I can't wait to have many helpful bots all around town!
Kitchens should become automated. The Industry is built on bad values. PEople devalue themselves to work with top chefs. They settle for low pay, long hours, missed life, burns, cuts, missing apendages the list goes on. The industry is a LOW margin industry.
But how these people is gonna survive? millions more for walfare?

I bet robots will over do with the salt. I know, I watch Futurama.
Just a matter of time. People demanding higher wages is what's going to speed up the switch over.
Investment in these fields are increasing even if the wages decrease it won't make a difference because $0 is always higher than even one cent. People shouldn't be trying to compete with machines by lowering their wages rather they should learn to compliment them by improving their job skills
@@NadeemAhmed-nv2br true problem is even working on the robots might start pay you min wage , way greed is
Now one way of how to make this food delivery start accelerating no matter where is to have cars and vans that take themselves to orders and this would be possible with the electric transportation provided... So the food is being freshly made for you four or so minutes away from your destination, cars and vans will be able to transport themselves to where ever and the more of these businesses there is the shorter the distance... Farmers are getting help from Robots in selecting crops and now chefs are getting help in the kitchen, by not using a kitchen but a battery-powered delivery service. Roll on battery-powered things and welcome a cleaner Earth

I am currently undergoing cervical problems- these bots would be God sent if for home use !!
i wrote my graduate year essay on service automation. having worked a part time at burger king, i must say these jobs need to get automated. subscribed
If we used robots for all our cooking needs anyway, why wouldn't we just instead a robot in our own home kitchen, putting these delivery companies out of business?
It wouldn't be economically viable.
@@renrosemary9882 Agree it seems much more likely we will just order all our food eventually and get rid of our kitchens.
A good idea... but even though making your own food sounds nice, we all know that we can't make the food look as appetizing as a robot can by following the instructions, and I must say if us lower down the line people (The hard workers for now) ever wanted a chief in our kitchen we would still be paying for one when we have even left this Earth.
nothing beats home cooking by human
Not really, people travel from time to time so companies we be fine.Having a robot chef means your wife or girl friend would have options instead of them cooking all the time!
Wow, a personalized factory. ❤

Solid perspective on the economics of automating restaurants
One day the robots will put us in the fat fryer while We are daydreaming of a better job .

Why would they put us in the fat fryer if they can't even eat anything? 🤔

ghost kitchen is work at home save the work and employer money and worker is happy cause he are she at home.
I hope humanity will be ready to relocate millions of millions of human workers that are in the food industry.
You know that a chef produces a better product, as his is born of love. Most chefs are in their profession as a matter of passion. Robots can't prepare any of this by themselves, they can't plan the meals, nor can they taste their prep. You think that all food tastes the same if you use the same amount of all ingredients every time? Recipes are starting grounds, ingredients can taste different (stronger, fresher, acrid, acidic, saltier, etc) and you may need a different amount than what the recipe says. Most recipes use salt to taste. Even with a professional chef programming the recipe, every dish will taste slightly different because the robot fundamentally can't taste things.
there was a company in japan working on a robot piloted kitchen for homes. All people have to do is keep it stocked with ingredients and the robot chef cooks what you order from a touch screen.
I left the culinary industry and got into computer science for this very reason. While I was in culinary, I kept thinking how stupid some of these processes are and that a robot could do it so much better than a stupid human. Now I'm seeing there are people already in the scene and also, who knows how many more are working on awesome automation projects? Damn, I better hurry up. There is so much room for innovation in the culinary industry it's exciting.
fucking idiot
There goes the neighborhood the kitchen will never be the same again
How do you film and what editing software do you use? This is great! Wish i could make this kind of stuff.
I'm assuming all the footage is "borrowed" then he lays them together and does a voice over, because he's definitely using other people's videos.
They made the cooking robot from WALL-E into a real thing
question: do you invest in the companies you list in your videos like tesla and amazon?
The question is what state/town will be the first place to have a city fully equipt with this type of innovation and forward movement.
I think the first one, "Spice", is the idea that makes more sense instead of robotic arms for the most part. With burgers, pancakes, etc there are other ways to flip them. I love the idea but hate that it will probably take many jobs; who's working on a solution for that?

hello Venture city, it is a great video I ever watch, but if I need some information about these cooking robots? to whom can I ask where to buy or consult about ?
Once people accept this reality then we can actually create amazing foods with proper personal diets..
Robotic cooking will be bigger, for the sake of cleanliness, hygiene, and high quality food production..
If a robot knows how to make Sushi rolls?, and cut Tuna with high level accuracy then that's the final straw of the Sushi chefs probably all chefs in general.

Good pizza requires crazy temperatures from massive stone ovens though. I question the quality you could get in a truck.
The new world is coming~!
"when the robots and machines take over"
I wish Zume Pizza and Spyce will open branches here in the Phillipines
Meh, I thought it would drop the prices of the food you order. Since it doesn't (if it does not much) I rather have a human cook it. However, I'm more inclined to have one in my home.
Richard Andrews maybe they charge the same at first to pay for the investment in the robots? Then maybe prices will drop.
Ehhh, who are we kidding? lol those greedy corporations will never drop prices.
@@plinyelder8156
No actually you hit the nail on the head. You have to differentiate b/w short, intermediate, and long-term effects. Greedy corporations being greedy doesn't mean they won't drop their prices. The labor market is not a monopsony. Employers compete w/ each other for talent, just as they compete for customers. The idea that "corporations" hold all the cards is the oldest econ fallacy in the book.
Automation hasn't led to overall drops in employment, it simply frees up labour to occupy new jobs, which can only exist when we save money on labor costs. Automation has led to localized unemployment, but it doesn't really matter b/c the savings in the economy end up creating new jobs. This is why we need to stop giving politicians the power to "fix" recessions. It's their job to react to dynamic circumstances w/ fiscal policy changes. The thing is they don't need to and probably shouldn't. Public institutions are beholden to special interest groups and the public, both of whom, for a variety of predictable reasons, are compelled to vote for policy which has net negative effects on the economy. Most people can't see a world where order arises out of chaotic conditions, and yet when you actually study this stuff that's exactly what you see in most macro cases. Our legal system needs to stop being in the business of micromanaging the economic relationships of others, and be in the business of enforcing contracts to the extent of bankruptcy protections.

Still waiting for robots that can perform food prepping like peeling, chopping and storing foodstuff
Look, allll this robotic stuff is really cool and so neat. It's CONSISTANT, RELIABLE, won't get sick, won't call in from a hangover, won't steal from the register, won't LIE etc. But here's my question..
As good as all this is, what if practically EVERY shop or store had this? What would humans do? You only need 2 maybe 3 supervisors for the store.. And 1 is a cashier to take cards and cash, other than that, even cards are becoming slowly obsolete. Pay through APPS and phones.. Robots while amazing, are taking those line cooks, truck drivers, warehouse stockers, etc jobs away. What are they going to do now?
Soon the world will only need one employee. Lord button pusher.
I am thinking about a new type of restaurants : eating-spots,
in eating-spots, food keeps changing, chefs also rotate,
this is opposed to current restaurants,
thanks to this rotation of food and chefs, eating-spots are way more powerful than restaurants.
along with that, there is an app,
people vote for the food that will be cooked in the next days
menu is influenced by the live input of the people via an app.
Robots are going to take over the world one day
Will the robots be able to perfectly sprinkle my salt like in the thumbnail tho? 🤔
I hope so
Maybe Elon can make it happen
Great idea,i will use a Raspberry Pie with presure sensors to make a device where you place your food and it adds the dossage of salt peper, etc accordingly to your taste.
@@draculakickyourass You can use a Raspberry PI to make a raspberry pie.
The people who invents this stuff never worked in a kitchen. They have no idea how much ,,fun'' is to clean later that robot or machines and stuff.Sometimes i prefer do cooking operations manually, because i spend more time later cleaning the devices than i spent to actually prepare the food.
Yo quiero uno para mi casa.
I agree , focus more in quality rather tha quantity
Ready for the Robot revolution of 2058
A lot of great food requires specific attention and care spent on individual ingredients. For bowls and pizzas, this might work, but I don't see how it can make more advanced higher level food that requires a lot of different steps and mechanical motions.
Bro they literally invented artificial intelligence a decade ago and look how far it's gone with so little focus and investment in the field. Get real now, they literally made magic intelligence and ur telling me they won't be able to make it do this?? This is the easy part, they already figured out the hard part
