Does it get any better than watching a guy show Elvis records while listening to Zappa? Very nice collection, Ed. Look forward to seeing post-77. Cheers, Jeff
At 14:40 - Ed, the look on your face when you hold up your copy of "Having Fun With Elvis on Stage" is priceless. BTW, I used to have a copy of it, but I sold it. Imagine, however, that there are die-hard fans out there who have to have everything, thus, owning both the Boxcar label edition plus the general RCA release. Oi!!
Nice collection Ed. Most reminded me of my original collection that I lost in the 80's while in college. I'm trying to rebuild it again. Always enjoy watching. Best...Juan
Elvis Presley the Sun Collection was the album that revived the rockabilly scene in the UK Revival then the rockabilly scene caught on like a Wildfire around the world and is thriving today
Fantastic collection man! I have to say this… not One of those pressings hold a candle to the Analogue Productions 3LP 45 RPM pressing of 24 Karat Hits in sound quality. Absolutely breath taking! It amazes me that you don’t have that. Dumbfounded really. Every Elvis and vinyl fan on the planet needs to have this in their collection
@@TheKingsCourt1972 It was first released in 2010 and went back in print last year. The last time it went out of print, it was going for ridiculous price. So I highly recommend any Elvis fan to grab it while it's still in print. I have Never heard these songs sound this good! It was billed as the best sounding EP record ever produced, and after hearing it, I have to agree! It is now my goto EP record, ever since I got it.
Nice collection.. you might remember.. I'm trying to track down a set my dad had (UK release) which was 4 records and when put together made a large picture of him.. I used to take it out daily when I was a tot to put the picture together and in doing so scratched them and they were all the records my dad had ... Trying to remember from over 30yrs ago I have a possible vague memory of it being in a box but I may be wrong .. but as a tot the picture of him fascinated me Also that 68 special figure you have I did have but it was broken in a house move and couldn't find it to replace it
Brilliant collection Ed, I live in the UK and the date with Elvis USA issue is top of my want list, but when they come up over here I always lose out. I agree with Jordan its a great looking album in any condition
ed what a super lp collection man. i got a hand ful of elvis on vinyl myself. dont plan to get rid of them. i play them occasinally. i usually just play the legacy cds and ftd cds. cant wait for pt 2. u should take a look at ftd cds. they are worth it bud mike
I have Elvis golden records, Elvis Gold Records vol. 2, Vol.3. and Vol 4. pressed on clear gold vinyl in Canada in 1978 with that fake stereo which I don't like but it sounds great, I bought them from a friend of mind, they are in mint condition. I also have Elvis A Legendary Performer Vol. 1 and 2 on clear gold vinyl in mint condition too. The sound on these records are crystal clear. Also too pressed in Canada only in 1978. Elvis a Canadian Tribute also pressed on Clear gold vinyl in 1978.
Hey Ed, I didn't realize you collected so many of the movie albums. Love it when you say "a crappy '70s Reprocessed album", heh heh..! I never tire of looking at so many varied Elvis LPs. I was wondering when you would get to your favorite LP of Having Fun With Elvis OnStage, and your wincing face was worth the wait!
Superb collection! It's so frustrating to see all these beautiful American pressings when it is so difficult to find them in France. My last video is about my last finds who are UK shellac 78rpm... of Elvis Of course ;). Great video, collection and channel. :)
thanks for this fun video.... this is a really nice collection... very interesting to see various vinyl pressings, ... i found the comments about the "crappy" 70s "reprocessed" stereo pressings rather surprising... i don't think they are "crappy" at all... they are gems of the times.... :) ... i would especially be interested in the Golden Records (vol.1) 1970s pressing in "eletronically reprocessed stereo" ... can i buy it from you ...??? (no, i'm not kidding...)
Colonel did not want to dilute Elvis' catalog with TV only records or allowing Elvis's album to be on the RCA Record Club. Once he and Elvis sold his back catalog, RCA started to market in such a manner.
I have the '73 TV album as part of a 5 LP box set and the commemorative edition on gold vinyl. It would be great if Friday Music or MOV would release the LP with the original artwork.
hey Ed awesome collection, you need to put that bonus photo with the RCA flaming star, it didn't come with the Camden release. in sure you knew that though. take care, George.
Britain released the Sun Collection first you're pressing is the second pressing of the Sun Collection it was released in the USA as the sun sessions later on but that's leave on the British release I loved that's the one Elvis is talking about when someone pulls it out of the audience and gives it to him and they say what a beautiful cover
Hello, I have a collection of some vinyl discs Elvis Presley RCA from the 60s,they are original and one of them as a Elvis rubrica, that discs belongs to my father when was in the navy during 50s and 60s, I supose he get them from a friend, also I have the SOLID STATE radio/phonograph old device that play the discs and still working. Do you know some expert in Elvis signatures that can confirm autenticity ? Thanks.
I noticed several the soundtracks missing as well ... Ed, you must not be into them, which I can totally understand. I myself have a couple of different variations between them mono and stereo versions LSP/ LPM and the sound quality is actually pretty cool, but different, shall we say. cool video, Thanks.
I have filled in some blanks since making this video, including (gasp) soundtracks too🤣. There are some soundtracks I really enjoy, and others I could live without hearing again. Goes for some of his studio singles and LP’s too. Elvis will always reign supreme in my book though, good and bad songs. Take care. Ed
You know Ed, a friend of mine and myself don't like Elvis' two records sleeves! They are: Pot Luck and Separate Ways. What do you think? Thanks from Rio de Janeiro!!
Some Elvis Soundtracks were released as 45 RPM 7” EP Records. Those two were, as well as Love Me Tender, Jailhouse Rock, Easy Come Easy Go, Kid Galahad, and some others. 👍✌️
MrEd! The Having Fun With Elvis On Stage, was the only Album issued that I never bought! It just seemed like a record that said, "Buy Me, You Idiot." LOL! Although I have to admit, as I got older, I have heard bits and pieces of it. Still says something like " Buy Me, You Idiot!" Any idea how many copies were printed and sold? Just curious. Keep the videos coming. You are the best!
The king's court I found some elvis records that been stored for 30 years it says on the Internet there's 8 of them there sealed still it's loving you girls girls girls and the golden records one and more should I get them what should I look for when I buy records
Tough to answer. Are you looking for original pressings? Many of Elvis’ records were pressed until after his death and also re-released throughout the years since his death. I would suggest internet searches of pictures of original release LP labels and covers so you know what you are getting. If you are only interested in the music, then pick up what you are interested in and can afford. Hope this helps. Take care. Ed
Ed sorry to bother you, but I have purchased a copy of the second album from his 50th and its still sealed but the obi strip is on the outside, was yours on the outside or under the shrink when new, thanks
of all of the Elvis albums you featured during this video, the 1976 Pickwick reissue of Frankie & Johnny was completely a waste of time. It should have been a straight 10th anniversary reissue with all twelve songs in the original running order and with the original album cover as well. with that being said, I can actually tolerate Having Fun With Elvis On Stage even more
You don't like Elvis Sings Hits Vol. 1? True, it has the childish Old MacDonald, Confidence and How Would You Like To Be, but it has the hip Guitar Man, Big Boss Man and strong ballads You Don't Know Me and They Remind Me Too Much Of You. I'm neutral about Long Legged Girl, it sounds like a Tom Jones production number. That leaves Frankie and Johnny and Riverside/Saints which are American folk songs that Elvis did from the start of his career (Love Me Tender was based on Aura Lee, not Sarah Lee, that was the cake lady). So it is a hodge-podge grab bag of an album but in my opinion it has enough good songs on it if you didn't already have them on the earlier albums where they did debut.
god bles your
elvis life
Elvis best forever👑👑👑
Daniel thanks you so much ❤.
I love to see how much your collection has grown over the years! I’m really tired I’m going to bed goodnight Ed.
Awesome Elvis Presley Hi Ed
Love Letters from Elvis is one of my favourite albums he recorded in the 1970s along with Elvis Now and Elvis Country. i play them a lot.
Nice collection! This wants me to collect Elvis records now lol 😆
That would not be a bad thing…👍✌️
Love your Elvis LP collection Ed!!
Thanks for sharing😊

Has anyone besides me ever noticed that on the "Aloha From Hawaii" album the photo of planet earth is printed upside down?
Yep that concert made planet Earth flip out......
Btw, I didn't even notice the planet, just wondered why the pic had the wrong jumpsuit
Nice lps
Very nice collection Ed!
Colonel did not want to dilute Elvis' catalog with TV only records or allowing Elvis's album to be on the RCA Record Club. Once he and Elvis sold his back catalog, RCA started to market in such a manner.
i love hearing Frank Zappa in the back ground.
I have the '73 TV album as part of a 5 LP box set and the commemorative edition on gold vinyl. It would be great if Friday Music or MOV would release the LP with the original artwork.

ED I REMBER GETTING THE TV PROMOTION LP MY MOM GOT IT FOR US C.O.D. DIDNT IT COME WITH A BOOKLET?
Elvis In Hollywood came with a booklet. Not sure about the 1973 TV release with the Blue Cover and Yellow letters that say ELVIS

I don’t know anybody personally who is an expert at authenticity of Elvis signatures. Sorry. I have 3 I know are legit however.
Hola ed existe una copia del aloha con el logo del patrocinador del evento que pusieron en tv....
Nassau county?
The king's court if I'm gonna be buying elvis vinyls will the 1 pressings be the best
Earlier/first pressings are your best bet if you can get them cheap and good condition(IMO)
Amazing collection! Ed, I bought a copy of Elvis in Concert off Ebay and the seller advertised it as a first pressing. How would I check that?
I noticed several the soundtracks missing as well ... Ed, you must not be into them, which I can totally understand. Derek Roberts I’m thinking of buying it is it a concert?
You know Ed, a friend of mine and myself don't like Elvis' two records sleeves! They are: Pot Luck and Separate Ways. What do you think? Thanks from Rio de Janeiro!!
Not a fan of the Pot Luck cover. Separate Ways is OK though.
The king's court how do I tell if there original pressings
Thumbs up 303
The king's court how do you tell if they are original pressings
How come Elvis never made a soundtrack for Viva Las Vegas and Tickle me,or maybe I'm wrong.
Some Elvis Soundtracks were released as
45 RPM 7” EP Records. Those two were, as well as Love Me Tender, Jailhouse Rock, Easy Come Easy Go, Kid Galahad, and some others. 👍✌️
Hey Ed, did you show Spinout? Or did I miss it?
I own it now, but not when I made this video.
The King's Court Ah ok, it's pretty meh and I only bought it for the sublime Dylan cover "Tomorrow Is A Long Time" just gorgeous.
MrEd! The Having Fun With Elvis On Stage, was the only Album issued that I never bought! It just seemed like a record that said, "Buy Me, You Idiot." LOL! Ed sorry to bother you, but I have purchased a copy of the second album from his 50th and its still sealed but the obi strip is on the outside, was yours on the outside or under the shrink when new, thanks
They were all made with the obi outside the shrink which easily caused damage to them most of the time. Nice score!!
I couldn't find the answer anywhere on the net so thanks for clearing that up .
The King's Court what should I be looking for when I buy a elvis record
Hey Ed. What is: "1S1S"? :)
It’s the stamp ID # located in the deadwax
of all of the Elvis albums you featured during this video, the 1976 Pickwick reissue of Frankie & Johnny was completely a waste of time. Hey Ed. What is: "1S1S"? :)
Those are markings in the dead wax that in part help identify certain album pressings
