She is ahead of her time. I remember when she first started releasing music and people couldn’t deny her music was good, but it was overshadowed by society’s inability to accept Gossip Girl’s Jenny showing such a “dark side” or “promiscuse side”. Now, people (I hope) realize how vulnerable and raw she’s been to show how hard depression and life can be. I can’t even imagine going through regular life..in the public eye. Well some people only care about image as she said they were more interested in her clothes than her words so a shallow society is depressing to anyone with real depth. Sad part is though as you get older more loved ones die so pain just accumulates sometimes and there are other heartaches other than death too.
I remember seeing when she first turned to rock and everyone said she had "taken the wrong path" or that she must be a gothic drug fiend because she's a rocker. My God I'm in tears. Taylor is an amazing talent but as an artist they are often vulnerable and the same source that feeds their creativity can also take them to a very dark place. One day at a time.....stay safe.
She is so amazing and precious, her voice and music is so awesome... she would have been a MASSIVE loss for the world, so so glad she was able to recover from it !!! honestly, hearing this as someone who went through depression, suicidal thoughts almost doing it 3 times holding the knife at my throat, drug abuse and more (but recovered as well) only makes me want to hug her !

Death by Rock & Roll is hands down their greatest album (and that is a statement, as they have so many great ones). Knowing some of this backstory and hearing such heartfelt songs about these tragedies, it brings EVEN MORE power and emotion to the record. I've been diagnosed with Bipolar disorder which is half mania and half depression. I understand a lot of what goes on with this condition. To me, Taylor seems such a courageous and tenacious fighter against those depressing lows and dangerous highs when dealing with it. I admire her spirit. BTW, a friend and I saw The Pretty Reckless in Greenville, SC recently. If you like heavy rock and roll that's performed with pure passion, go see them live. They don't disappoint.
Awww hang in there! My boyfriend passed February 9th, 2021, he suffered bipolar. I was not use to being around someone who suffered depression. My boyfriend had a mental breakdown one night and could not stop crying. I just kept hugging him. I completely understand depression with people. I am not a doctor, but we just need to make sure our loved ones are good. My boyfriend passed Liver Failure, he was 45. He was a great guy.

I just got to see her a couple months ago with Shinedown with my daughter, which you can hear all her emotions and passion in her sons. Her and the band getting to tour with Shinedown was very inspirational to see. I know what depression feels like personally and also the loss of people close to us. So glad she is sharing this with others who might be going through their own hard times.
I’m 40. I have been fighting depression since I was about 10. 30 years of my life and I have to say, when I hear someone Taylor’s age say “it gets better” it pisses me off. And that’s not her fault, but like at what point? Half my life is gone and no matter what I do I’m still as messed up as ever. I love her music and I’m glad she’s feeling better. I just wish I could figure out how to get there myself.
the point is at no matter what age don't ever give up just keep fighting. would you rather her say it gets worse? you need to have hope and believe it does get better
I came across the Pretty Wreckless sort of organically and fell in love with the music before I even knew Taylor was a child star. After I found out later it made even more sense how this young person seemed to be writing from a deep well of life experience despite her age
What a performer. Time and support can take away the edge of hurt but it is something you learn to live with and be more aware of what place you are coming from.
Her words literally made me bawl! Just tears started streaming and I guess that is how much I have been suppressing it all and just to hear someone else who's been there say hold on really breaks down those walls... In a good way I hope...

@@christimecarmona6810 My condolences. Yeah it is sad the stigma and lack of understanding people have with most thinking aw you feel sorry for yourself snap out of it . Feel better
@@jgaffney567 Yep! Thank you! 💞
I'm so proud of her she deserves better.
Taylor and TPR are awesome!!
I've battled depression and suicide and understand her and their lyrics....keep rocking out TPR!! Much love and respect!!
She's a wonderful performer. Best wishes for her.
She puts on an AMAZING show! I got to see her a few months ago and I LOVED IT! The band was brilliant, her vocals amazing!
Music can over come tragedy ,Some may take longer but it will pass and music will take you through it
I just got to see her a couple months ago with Shinedown with my daughter, which you can hear all her emotions and passion in her sons. Her and the band getting to tour with Shinedown was very inspirational to see. I know what depression feels like personally and also the loss of people close to us. So glad she is sharing this with others who might be going through their own hard times.
One of the greatest rock voices of all time, she has an ability to sound great across a range of genres.
Taylor, please never stop trying. You are a very gifted artist and Loved By Many.
Super talented woman! Wishing her all the best. I hope she recovers and continues putting out her music. It touches and helps so many others. ♥️♥️♥️
She's such a force of nature, I love her 🥺❤️💖✨
I remember how much I used to love this band as a teenager. She's very talented, I hope the best for her. ❤
She has been one of my fashion icon inspo 😭 Still rocking in 2022. I love her eye makeup here
It never gets better, it never goes away. There's just moments where you feel better for a little bit. Those moments come and go.
I came across the Pretty Wreckless sort of organically and fell in love with the music before I even knew Taylor was a child star. After I found out later it made even more sense how this young person seemed to be writing from a deep well of life experience despite her age
Some of their best music came from that time in her depression. It created the album death by rock ‘n’ roll!
She's so beautiful ... God love her
You got this girl. Continue making those albums I will keep listening
I've been a fan since I was a teenager, The Pretty Reckless is so so good.
She has an amazing voice and a wonderful woman who has a very bright future....🎸🎸🎸
Interviewer was actually good.
Im proud of you Taylor.. I am struggling with dep for 4 years now. But its gettin kind of better.
Thank you for fighting the dark with music. You save me many days.
Congrats to her and her bandmates for getting thru that journey.
Best wishes ❤️ ♥️ 💕 💖 to her and all who battle depression.
her music got me through hard times. i’m partially vocally inspired by her and recently started a band with some awesome people.
This is so raw, thank you Taylor for sharing.
Dear Taylor please take time for yourself , I went through it too. put it in check and recover. I love your work you are very talented love.
They are a very amazing band and she has an amazing voice. I hope she keeps making music!
Millones la amamos y le deseamos lo mejor. Ella es nuestra reina.
That was great, well done. She's so good.
True powerful queen 🖤
What a performer.
Time and support can take away the edge of hurt but it is something you learn to live with and be more aware of what place you are coming from.
An amazing person and singer! I love her music so much! Best wishes for her
Her words literally made me bawl! Just tears started streaming and I guess that is how much I have been suppressing it all and just to hear someone else who's been there say hold on really breaks down those walls... In a good way I hope...
Great interview, go Taylor! & RIP Chris, we'll love you forever. xx
I started to cry durning this. Because everything she said is true. Shes truly an amazing and talented artist who gets underestimated when she shouldnt. Ive been through what she has with depression. It really does feel like hell.
I know exactly how you feel !!! I have mental problems and deep depression and anxiety!!!! So To Chris, And Others, you’ve lost!!!! I Love ❤️ Ur Music and Voice!! U Rock!!! Hell Yeah!!!! I’m A Fan,And I’m Older!!!!
loved her music since a friend showed me "make me wanna die". Her interview with George Lopez on his show really made me feel like she's such a genuine person. Had no idea she was struggling.
I stumbled across her music and while a bit dark has some seriously powerful lyrics. Smart and talented kid that I wish the best
🔴 #TaylorMomsen is extremely talented as an actress, singer, motivational speaker, and *Anything* she sets her mind on to accomplish!‼️
Love her, love the band, love the album, love Chris Cornell and love music. It has definitely saved me too, time and time again.
The ultimate answer to all the questions is life is life. As hard as life may be it's always the hardest for the one's that are left behind. So just keep living breathing because it effects more than just yourself.
it depresses me that I cant have her to myself ... wishing her the best of health & happiness.
Nice to hear the stories behind the music.
I love this band .... She did the right thing pulling together this magical musical thing inside herself. Even after this aweful stuff happened.
I love her and TPR so much
Taylor the best 🥺🖤🖤🖤
