I remember a interview Mark Few did years ago after he turned down the UCLA job. Interviewer asked about the money he was offered. He said " they offered me so much money my grandchildren's grandchildren would never have to work" followed by "you can't fly fishing in the L. A. River". A truly great man.
Purdue Fan Here- I think Coach Few is one of coolest & greatest coaches in the country. If my boilers were to lose to The Zags I’d tip my cap and root em on! Can’t wait til Friday Night! Good luck Coach! And to Gonzaga fans…don’t ever take this man for granted! 🏀
What a great comment, thank you. Purdue looking fabulous this year! Trust me, we LOVE Mark Few here in Spokane and truly appreciate him. Spokane is a loyal place, and I'm saying this as a Seattleite who has lived all over the country. Few does this job for a school of 4,500 students and a budget to match; he's a magician to do what he does year after year.
@@pamclare6222 I’ve like Few for decades now, and I respect the coaches who aren’t smug and arrogant about their successes. From day one he’s acted like he’s been there before, and he realizes that it’s the players, not him, that deserve so much of the limelight. There are great coaches who don’t understand that. He and Painter do. Good luck Friday!! We’re so close!!!
@@JustUsZags509 appreciate you!! It takes too much work and energy to be negative. All the negativity and hate that my Boilers get is so dumbfounding to me. Painter is a selfless coach who would rather talk all post game press conference about his opponents and opposing coaches. Our players are like other teams players…just kids trying to figure everything out. And they are so likable, especially Edey! He will stay after practices and games until the last fan snaps a selfie and gets their autograph. I bet Gonzaga is the same way! I’ve watched hours of Gonzaga video this week. Your players are a reflection of your coach. If we lose to them there will zero shame. Good luck Friday!! It’s almost here!
Im a purdue fan and alum and i have so much respect for MarK Few, he is so likeable. I think is going to be a tight game and winner of this will go to the championship. Boiler Up
the zags basketball team comes into the restaurant I work at quite often for recruiting or team meetings and I distinctly remember one of the players saying he liked my tattoo and how coach talked about discipline often (the tattoo says discipline equals freedom). rooting for them to win the whole thing

I think he is one of the Greatest people to ever take a breath of fresh air! Mark is very caring and kind to others! Colin, never seen Mark so relaxed as being on your show! It's obvious that he really enjoys you, Colin!!! Randy
I'm a Zags Fan living in Edmonton, Canada. If the Zags lose to Purdue I'll be fine with it strictly cause Zach is Canadian, but that being said...Go Zags!!! 💙❤
idc what anyone says even if Gonzaga doesn’t have a championship they are a blue blood. they’re the most consistent team in the tournament the past decade. take Kentucky & Villanova outta that equation
Zags definitely need to win a title to be considered a blue blood, but championship or not, Few is easily a hall of fame coach who built an incredible program out of a cinderella run to the elite eight. GU's player development and Few's offensive coaching is incredible, and their teams are always fun to watch.
Gonzaga is going to get their clocks cleaned, I’m afraid. Purdue is playing with such an edge. All their players are firing on all cylinders. They already beat Gonzaga by double digits this year and Purdue looks much improved since then
Differences between Edey and Clingan,,, Edey a Sr., big strong, shoots foul shots well, and has a soft touch around basket! Clingan a Soph., big strong, shoots foul shots well, and has a soft touch around the basket! So between UCONN and Purdue its not the centers where Purdue 'usually' has the big edge, its the supporting players, and UCONN has superior surrounding players!
NIL has actually helped college basketball because if people haven’t noticed the NBA g league team just folded. College football will never agree to revenue sharing and yes I mean college football because they generate the most money.
Ya we know Braden Smith is a good player that's when you tried to get him to Gonzaga right. How does one do that when they aren’t in the portal? Sounds like you sent your bagmen to get him
He was never banned, he chose to not attend during Covid because of the mask mandate. He son plays for another team in WA, but he attended when they played in the Kennel.
Are you talking about Coach Few??? All the guy has done is win. Name a coach that has more wins than him in the last 25 years. He is coaching at a tiny Christian school in Spokane Washington. They are in a mid major conference and have turned into one of the biggest brands in college basketball.

Colin thanks for brining college basketball coaches on during March. It matters. Any coverage for the sport nationally helps.
FEW IS AN OG 💯
How lucky we are to have Mark Few still actively involved in college basketball. Go Zags. Purdue will be super tough.

Mark Few is so humble, he isn't just a phenomenal coach. He is one of the finest human beings in America. 😊
The Zags do not give up. Coach Few I grew up watching. He’s one of the best and the teams are always well coached!
Mark Few is intelligent and very articulate. Great interview. I am a Boilermaker but hats off to Gonzaga and their head coach. May the best team win.
He deserves a CHIP frfr 🙏🤙💯💯

"He is a really really really good player". Thanks coach for clearing that up. I was under the impression he was 'just tall'.

So does Gonzaga
“By double digits” yeah, but it was almost a single digit lead, not that huge of a win tbh

Gonzaga finished #6 in the final mid-major rankings. They have a chance. But I firmly believe that their team last year was WAY much better.
Oh everyone knows that, but they're not as bad as people thought they were a few months ago
Gonzaga will beat Purdue
to beat purdue .....you take the ball at the big boy...get him in foul trouble...
double clutch ....
Go Perdue and Go Cougs
Boiler up!!

Truly the stupidest thing I've heard in ages. Bad b8 m8 0/8. If you're trolling, that's just worse, little guy.
it's a small private school in Spokane Washington..... There's 300+ d1 basketball teams..... Should all but 1 of them clean house every year? lol
This is the dumbest thing I've read on the Internet this week... And there's some pretty stiff competition... Congratulations
Go Zags!
