Never played the game, never heard of it really, but found this song on someone's playlist. It's got a strange effect I can feel welling up behind my eyes and rising in my chest. It's calming.. saddening even, yet still inspiring as well. Today is a beautiful Fall day and I couldn't think of a more perfect song to encapsulate such a time. I could listen to this forever.
@@fluffystagbeetle4526 Oh hell nah. It deffy is a masterpiece but they'd be doing themselves a disservice by playing it before the Definitive Edition releases. They should wait and play it on the Switch for a superior experience!
This song is my confort zone. Everytime i feel stressed or when i need to focus, i listen to it. Its been 10 years now, Xenoblade still my favorite game, it represents a big part of my life.
I heard this song for a lot less than I wanted to have when I played. I love this song, and how much a normal player hears it is a crime. The main melody is simplistic, yet beautiful. It consists almost entirely of quarter notes, but it works really well. It feels like its saying to push on, "despite potential hardships" from the way it consistently pushes to the next note to keep in time. I also really love the countermelody here. Having those notes play on the off beats creates a really interesting dynamic and makes the song incredibly exciting to hear. Constantly, the melody is full of sorrow and regret, but it always has this underlying sense of hope. It creates an interesting mesh of emotions that, while seemingly standard in Xenoblade music, feels special here. Especially in the second melody, this theme of hope overcoming sorrow is present. I find it especially so in the second melody because of how the song breaks away from its quarter note pattern, as if telling the people of Colony 6 to create a new future for themselves. The melody is also insanely catchy. Overall, this song is phenomenal, in my opinion. It's memorable, emotional, well instrumented, and it provides a message that is thematically perfect.
B-Bum ok so I’m going trough the soundtrack one more time to see if there are some really good tunes I didn’t have on my phone and it seems you really did comment of almost all of not all of the soundtracks of this game, it’s actually pretty cool to see how much you love this game ^^
Never played this game in my life, found this song by accident while listening to zelda botw ost, might just get the game now because of this beautiful ost
I remember hearing this song for the first time when I was playing Xenoblade Chronicles on my Wii back in 2013. Man, it is such a good song, but you don't get to hear it a lot unless you go do a bunch of the side quests in that area (which there is A LOT). It's honestly my favorite theme in the game and I love listening to it during Autumn. Something about it just gives it that Autumn feel that's both relaxing and calming. Can't wait to do it again in month or so when all the leaves start falling to the floor!!
It seems so many others also feel touched by this simple yet emotional tune. Much of my own emotions stir hearing this as well. I recall when I first played this game. I came out of a relationship thinking it would last, the future seemed ominous and bleak even. I’d feel anxious even thinking about my future and not knowing what it would held given my various shitty circumstances. This tune somehow seem to pacify said sorrows, as if to encourage one to push forward despite the seemingly arduous circumstances. I legit did not want to exist and did not think I had a place in the world but this tune and game seemed to say otherwise, in its own right. Here I am now, 12 years later, smiling, a little sadly but happy still that things eventually did get better.
I remember i commented in this video or in a similar one about this song, saying this ost makes me want to play the game. Many people asked me if i had got the game, and now i can say i just got it! I'm on my way to my house, i'll try it there! If you find my old comment, please comment something there so i can find it and update it :)
@@GoldenMushroom64 amazing game, the music along with the characters are it's highlights. Definetly a must play title, and i'm only in the middle of the game By the way, this theme is my favorite one :)
When i think of this song, it reminds me of my sadness for not being able to have TEA and Coffee. Your meant to have TEA and Coffee at 12. But i had TEA before 12 so i can't have TEA and Coffee.😢
Someone_unkwon Not really remixed Manami Kiyota the composer of this song uses instrumental motifs in most of her songs there are completely different compositions if you look at the sheets.
this one is so underrated...
It really is
I agree
😆😍💖💞💕

Do yourself a favor and play it. It is a masterpiece of a game. An HD remake comes out to the Switch next year

Glad someone else remembers that!
the sole reason I learned about XC and ended up playing it!

Yeah. It reminds me of Dark Cloud 2 OST to be honest.

That's really very well put I especially love how you put your heart into just one comment that really shows you care about stuff
After coming to the refugee camp, I didn't want to leave because the music was so good.

Four month old comment but you just made one of the best purchases of your life, I’m assuming you got the switch remaster?

*cries in finished Xenoblade*
Most people say Mechanical Rhythm is the best song but to me, this one is my favorite. It's so relaxing to hear this song.
yeah also one of my favourites. It has such a sad vibe
Ese juego fué mi parte de mi adolescencia 🫶
A minha também, desde meus 14 anos.
Com 17 foi a vez de Xenoblade 2!
Here from aleczandxr's content. dude makes some fantastic videos and streams on twitch.
This music is always so beautiful and lovely to hear
I remember going there and just leaving the game idle for a good while just to hear this song play on loop. Same with the Noppon tree one.
Can’t help but tear up listening to this. Remembering when I played this game for the first time in winter of 2016. Where did the time go?
Still my favorite track
Why did no one tell me this soundtrack is amazing
Now you know
Heard a lofi mix of this one on a stream. Someone said the title and I had to look up the original. I definitely need to start this game now.
Have u played it yet? if not, u should now.
Hyper blessed track.

@@felix5012 great to hear. Definitely make a point to avoid online spoilers until you are finished your journey
Absolute cinema
sounds like it could be off the professor layton OST's!
Literally the first thing I think every time I enter this area. It has the EXACT same relaxing yet slightly somber sound as most Layton tracks
What a masterpiece
Next week CAN NOT come faster...
My safe space. 🤍

...fragile dreams?
my first thought too. that's also one of my favorite games
For some reason I get Spirit Crucible Elpys vibes...
A lot of the songs from Xenoblade are remixed in Xenoblade 2, so that's why they sound similarish

1:18 is definitely heard in spirit
SAME I fell lile they should have used something similiar ya know!?
It just so beautifully composed and the feeling it brings out of me is incredible. I could listen to this for hours on end without stopping.
Way better than the remake
La verdad la del remake me gusta más
Does anyone hear "Sakamoto: Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence (Arr. Metcalfe)" in this song? I think they are identical?
