    Great video. That was a great spot for action but I wish they were bigger fish as you did too. Congratulations on a good finish on Pickwick. Thanks Alex

    I fished Cypress Creek just a week ago and got nothing. I’ve never seen that creek like that. I spent to long in there. I moved a mile down river found my humps and put 20 lbs of Smallmouth in the boat.

      At least you got your big bag of smallies! Cypress is hit and miss for sure

    Those nuggets was loving that drop shot, LOL. As a fellow Co, that’s something I need to get better with. Recently bought a Nrx+ spinning rod. What was your whole drop shot setup?

      Sometimes they just eat it! Setup wise it’s a 7’2 MH rod, 2500 size spinning reel, 10 lb braid to a 10lb leader. 1/4 oz weight, 2/0 VMC finesse Neko hook! I used several types of worms in this video but my favorite is a roboworm 6” straight tail

    Hey what was your line size set up if you don’t mind me asking?

    • @alexrobertsfishing
      @alexrobertsfishing  4 місяці тому

      Sure! I use 10 lb. Seaguar Smackdown braid as my main line and tie a 10 lb. Seaguar Invisx leader on there. It's tried and true for me!

    Do the boaters ever complain about casting towards the front of the boat ?

    • @alexrobertsfishing
      @alexrobertsfishing  5 місяців тому

      Josh is my season-long link so he doesn’t care where I cast. In a draw tournament I will respectfully ask
