Just got it set up on my linux desktop and it has been running well so far. this will def streamline my communication from my desktop. thanks for the tutorial
That's a really good project and tutorial. Thanks! This is definitely another step in being able to use Apple stuff without getting entirely trapped in their ecosystem.
Thank you so much for your tutorial! Much appriciated. Question, how do i go about having my contact names appear on the windows client? I see the numbers but not the names. When I do a search for a contact, I get a no results found on the windows app. Please advise. Thank you!
@@Eevnos Same, I am currently using pop_os and being able to send messages from my desktop is a game changer, (cant seem to get people to change to signal lol)
@eevnos - you mention at the end of this video that you can interact with imessage on the web on a chromebook. Can you tell me what site on the web would allow that and how to establish that?
My phone is Android it's the Motorola. Moto g stylus 5g my computer my laptop is a Windows computer. My computer came with Windows 10 already installed and I was able to install Windows 11 without having to get a whole new system. Also what I love about Windows computers is the fact that they can read anything and everything they can read your phone even if it's Android which is usually all Google stuff and they can also read every MP3 player and iphone. I'm just telling you this because I'm happy with the technology that I have and enjoy the videos that you have on here. The biggest downside to Google Chromebook versus a Windows laptop is the fact that windows and Macs can rip a CD into a computer with an external CD driver Google Chrome doesn't have that luxury so can you do more videos on Google Chrome versus Windows computers because I really love those? If you can here's what I how to install an external CD drive onto a Windows computer how to install Windows 11 on your existing computer so you won't have to get another one and do more comparisons with Google Chrome books and Windows computers.
That’s great, thanks for the comment. I’m always all about using what works for you. The purpose of a lot of my videos is just to let people know what options are out there.
Have you set this up yet?
If so, how is it working for you?

@@TokenTech that’s awesome, I’m glad it worked for you!

Yeah, it works really well.
I primarily use Linux and between this and KDE Connect there’s not a whole lot I can’t do.
Wonderful. I wanted to use Linux as my second Distro on my M1 Mac without feeling the pain of switching to that OS!

Can you provide a link to instructions for disabling SIP on a MacBook Pro that runs High Sierra?
This is so cool! I'm gonna try this on my old MacBook
super cool video, this is really useful and something I've wanted for a while. This honestly makes it easier to move away from the apple "eco system".
Thanks!
Yeah, it definitely does make it easier.
My iPhone and Linux desktop work pretty well together!

Whats the oldest version of macOS that the server can run on, does anybody know?
I believe it was tested down to 10.13, but i could be wrong, and if I am right, it may work with lower, untested versions
is this possible on windows?
Cool!
