He is one of the most experienced and celebrated marksmen in Europe and the World, but regardless of that resumé, he has never won an international trophy, but he has never lost his drive. And what's more, is that even a couple of years ago, even making a Championship Final seemed out of reach. Until 2018. Everything was set up to perfection for Martin and for Fnatic. They reconquered Europe after years of G2 domination, Caps stepped up as a true carry, and they faced an IG in the Finals they had beaten twice in the group stage. But as we all know, it was a tragedy. It was a quick exit. It was a shameful display, and what was worse, it felt like a lost opportunity that may never come again, for Rekkles, for Fnatic and for Europe. The LPL rose as the unbeateable beast we know them to be. And the LPL would dominate the World Championship two times in a row. But Rekkles, he did not stop fighting, and in fact in 2019, he was finally able to put one of his biggest demons to bed, with Uzi and RNG. And now? Now we're here. 2020. Either way LPL stil looks incredibly strong with LCK coming back too, could be a hard fought all out war even with that change
i remember this. Both the Khazix and Velkoz pick where completely out of line at the time. They got too full of themselves and tried to style on them on matchpoint and then they panicked.
I love how TES adapted to FNC's play style. Staying calm on the bot the lane despite all the harrass and focusing the FNC's weak sides ( jungle-mid duo) and getting other lanes ahead is phenomenal. I think play of the series is at Game 5 JL dodging the skillshots and ults underneath the mid tower and getting the kill. I absolutely like that FNC lose this BO5, all the cockiness and smiles at the champ select turns into tears XD
They’re the LEC casters, of course they’re biased. Not to mention, following a would be narrative of toppling the top LPL team is much more entertaining. Top refused to lose tho.
@@UwU_Blaster No it isn't. It's only good for LEC fans. Casting was hot garbage. Hopefully we get GenG to top G2 so we don't have to hear the worst casting of all the major regions.

As a EU fan, this is a hard blow to take, but also an interesting experience. At the beginning, I just hope FNC can maybe take 1 game. Then at the end game 2, I thought come on FNC! After watching Fnatics abyssmal performance in 2024 worlds take me back to this. Its a shame that this team had conflicting views on the game because they had such skill in every lane.
Jackeylove gonna get flame for dying much. But seriously, Karsa is MVP-worthy and all, but Jakeylove's adc mechanism is so top notch that he can crawl the dmg out in skirmishes and combats regardless of him being fed or not. His position in combat is on point.
I think Reckless did get his revenge in the end. He played good and carried FNC. Nemesis tho ... he so bad. In the 3rd or 4rd game (dind't remember) they were full AD because he just cant play any midlaner beside Ori and Tf. And when they let him TF, he just inted. LOL He really need to start improving his champion pools, adding thinks like Zoe, LeBlank, Akali (he can play Akali i think), even Zigs lol (never saw him playing zigs tho). Btw, good series. It was close, but the midgap was too big. 3 and 4 game was lost in draft (full ad comp with Velk-Galio utility in mid, Sion open, no magic damage, gg). Ps: Im happy to see Sylas back on the rift.
FNC played entirely through bot, doing everything to get on top of JackeyLove. TES couldn't win in game 1 and 2 because their teamfights got cock-blocked by Kindred ult. Removing the Kindred and putting priority back onto JG seemed to be what made TES win.
GGs TOP and FNC! Great series from both teams. Fnatic did their best to surprise TOP and got 2 wins with it but sadly they pinched Nemesis and Selfmade's champion pools and FNC just couldn't function well enough to win one last game. @@ltsdeshawn it actually can setup for a pretty chunky combo into anyone, e to w to auto to q to auto to r (if low) to maybe finish off. Not used a lot in worlds due to vision and the chance of being hard punished by the enemy team, but in solo q this combo can be really good to tell to bruisers with no ap resist (IF going apc) to "fuck off" in lane solo even. It could be really really good and can give you early-mid depending on the lane state if you are going top ezreal or setup for lane dominance for ganks if mid, it works but right after you can get punished hard and is really punishable.

Fnatic lost because they were cocky and not mentally stable, it is just facts. They did good for having 2 wins, but they could've won the whole thing.
Fanatic lost because they kept trying to gain the advantage early, and in game 3 tes adapted and played more aggressively
@@panadatm Game 3 they were down nearly 3k gold and threw. The adaptation came in game 4 imo when Karsa gave up playing carry jungler since TES can't support this play style and started focusing out on mid and conceded contesting early bot prio.
@@panadatm They lost because they troll picked khazix game 3 and gragas game 5. They could've won game 4 but nemesis trolled so hard and get mid gapped by 80cs which is just unplayable after mid game.

I dont comment often, but even tho FNC lost, Im super proud that it wasnt a 3-0 game many of people expected, yes the first 2 wins may not have been the cleanest, but they are wins nonetheless. Im super proud of the show FNC displayed, and the fact that they lead with 2-0, thats just insane, super proud of them, and I hope that FNC will come even stronger next year.
They put a good fight with top but lack of finishing move at the end
hopefully rekkles wont retire until then
Rekkles should join g2
@@aceyun8822 that team would standup to LPL, and be a big contender for the summoner's cup. But we will never know what LPL would hit us next year, knowing how much different this year teams were with last years, could be an insane mainly rookie teams and rosters again, or maybe an IG comeback. Either way LPL stil looks incredibly strong with LCK coming back too, could be a hard fought all out war even with that change
I'm convinced that if FNC had a better midlaner then this would have been a win for them. Nemesis champion pool is way too small
This Rekkles guy is pretty good, he will surely do better next year
i remember this. Both the Khazix and Velkoz pick where completely out of line at the time. They got too full of themselves and tried to style on them on matchpoint and then they panicked.
25:37 this was the reason they lost, hylli missed his W in that case sion was dead and they leave safely. Feels bad man
He will have at least 100 hp but not dead
I love how TES adapted to FNC's play style. Staying calm on the bot the lane despite all the harrass and focusing the FNC's weak sides ( jungle-mid duo) and getting other lanes ahead is phenomenal. I think play of the series is at Game 5 JL dodging the skillshots and ults underneath the mid tower and getting the kill. I absolutely like that FNC lose this BO5, all the cockiness and smiles at the champ select turns into tears XD

All in all, I think they had a great cast and I enjoyed it. But there should have been different bodies placed on the analyst desk so it wasn't LEC packed tho I will say that.
@@UwU_Blaster
Okay quickshot best shout caster of any esport? Lets get the EU bias out of the way. Quickshot is def not the best play by play in league of legends first of all. Ender is still hot garbage and has one of the worst knowledge in the game. He's biased as hell and def doesn't turn it down. Krepo/Deficio is what you should look at to see neutral casting that can have a slight bias tone. Analysts desk they can't do much due to covid so I don't mind that since I can turn it off and mute it. The cast for the game is far more important.
I'm fine with Quickshot tho he is biased. I can't stand Ender ever. I would've preferred the LCK casters to cast all of the games. LS, Atlas and/or Valdez
