  • @ayumikunn
    @ayumikunn 7 років тому +94

    what i like is how those people can push the guy away because he deserved it. do that in america and the guy who spit would say something like "don't put your hands on me!" and he'd get away clean while the guy who touched him and tried to make him accountable for his actions would be the one in trouble

    • @coreydoyle4702
      @coreydoyle4702 7 років тому +2

      Manhandling and assaulting someone are not the appropriate actions to take against someone who's simply breaking customs. The fact so many think it is, is quite worrisome. In my opinion, it's a mark of poor society in itself to act as the woman and men in the video acted. Both are in the wrong imo, especially the men who proceeded to manhandle another human being.

    • @keonalee-rimpel2933
      @keonalee-rimpel2933 7 років тому +9

      Manhandling and assaulting someone is wrong, but the man wasn't breaking customs, what he was doing was vandalism. That is why he was fined. This also takes place in China where they are very big on respecting your elders. He was disrespecting her by spitting on the floor when she was basically telling him that maybe that is ok where he is from but not here. For example some people might put there fit up on the chair or coffee table at their home, that doesn't mean it is ok to do at somebody else's house, which is basically what she was trying to say.

    • @coreydoyle4702
      @coreydoyle4702 7 років тому

      I get your point, but I wouldn't pick the person up and throw them out of the house for doing so, unless they were uninvited. Does it suck that people act that way sometimes? Yes. But it's important to remember to follow the example you hope to set. Making a huge scene and throwing that person out is not proving anything except your low tolerance for other people.

    • @joshuathomas6390
      @joshuathomas6390 7 років тому +4

      Corey Doyle No it's proving your low tolerance for people who are dirty, disrespectful, and lack common sense. Which is exactly how a functioning society should act.
      The way people act is important and can even affect the way people think. To just be "tolerant" of the man spitting on a train floor is to act like your community and its facilities aren't important which shows that deep down you don't think it's important. Besides it's not like they just beat the shit out of him, it didn't even look like they pushed him that hard. They were just acting out the disgust that they have for people who don't value/respect the community. A disgust which any healthy society should have.

    • @Cocokitty98
      @Cocokitty98 6 років тому +1

      Honestly I think that was too far. However as I am dumb and cannot think of any other ways to solve this I think it was necessary to teach him to behave better in public spaces since it was not like they jumped him and beat him.
      If any whiteknights can offer me different solutions they are welcome.

    I got into an argument with a group of high schoolers (maybe 10th grade) in Korea. Basically we were in an INDOOR amusement park ride and they were spitting on the floor. As they were playing around and spitting on the floor, one of the girls bumped into me and stepped on me (I was wearing flip-flops) in which I yelled 야! (or Hey!) and then they got all offended because they thought I was younger than them and what I said would be considered rude if I was younger. I was 18... I just looked younger at that time because I didn't wear make up or dye my hair or do typical things native Koreans did after they graduate high school. Basically I started cursing at them in English and Korean. My cousin (who unlike me, grew up in Korea) had to explain that they were the rude ones by displaying such behavior to someone who is 3 years older than them and whatnot.

    but my roommate in San Francisco what is Mongolian and she kind of culture shock me to believe that tell all Asians are she never did laundry and only washed her underwear in the shower and would leave it in there and then get mad at me if I showered and got it wet but she wouldn't take it out and she would tell me just take it out and hang it in her closet. She would also put raw chicken back into the refrigerator without a plate or Saran Wrap or foil just raw chicken on the plastic Shelf. she wouldn't understand her volume when speaking and would talk all day and night on the phone and it's like no common sense that I had asleep for class the next day. she also would drink my bottle water and I had to carry that up a hill back to the apartment from a grocery store so I would get very upset if she would drink my water and then tell me it's just water it comes out of the sink well then drink it out of the sink. she also would stand so close to me she wouldn't understand like Space Bubble that ever person has. she always wanted to use my stuff laptop scissors kitchen appliance iron things like that but I could never use any of her stuff. I live in a small community majority of Mexicans and that was the first time I've ever met an Asian person and it's taking me a long time to break out of that stereotypical category. to be honest a year ago when I found justkiddingnews it really helped me discover a lot about Asia in general. I think you guys for that you guys help break a habit that is unattractive in myself. so continue the great work thank you you all are so interesting.

    P.s. Its not all that bad. The media exaggerates it and the public eats it all up without giving Chinese people from China a chance. There are idiots and disrespectful people in every country. Its not just China. There are also intelligent and mindful people in China. Do not stereotype because you like drama and talking shit. It causes unnecessary tension and misunderstanding.
    Probably gonna get shit for this but here goes: Just because most of the world is Americanised doesn't mean it is the superior way of life/ culture. Try to understand the Chinese culture and maybe then, you will realise why things are done a certain way. Just want to put it out there that I am not from China. I just feel that there is beauty in every culture and we would be better off if people just open their minds.
