Since I experienced you in ‘the secret world of haute couture’ you’ve been in my consciousness. This collaboration with Bella Freud is wonderful, ironically fascinating. I live a very quiet life in the countryside of NC. But I enjoy the wider world in a way. Your style is really beautiful as are you. Best wishes.
Thanks for calling it fashion neurosis; I always knew that I had a bit of that without ever being fashionable or have much aware of the brands and designers. And yet clothes do something to me (and sometimes for me:)). I love to see something individual on everyone, especially when it comes to colors or jewelry. It can strangely lift up my mood. The same when I come to someone’s house, I am most interested what art they have around (nothing to do with price, it could be just student work). It’s about life, the art of living, I suppose. I read that Greeks’ love to dance and crash plates comes from the ancient ritual of showing the Hades that they are still alive. I draw parallel to it in loving art, fabrics, food, conversation… So, thanks for this sweet and soothing conversations; I almost feel as being part of it although I live in a completely different bubble.
I reduced the playback speed to 75% and used this as a kind of soothing meditation backdrop, drifting in and out of sleep to great effect. Lovely conversation, calming voices, interesting investigation. 🖤🖤
Such great questions. It feels so intimate but without being exploiting. Very interesting to hear her talk

Daphne is such a gentle soul. Fantastic interview! Thankyou.
Thanks!
So lovely: Mellow. Relaxed. Natural, and real. Thank you, Bella (and Daphne). 💖✨
I appreciate the pull toward asymmetry, odd numbers, minor keys. Being a bit off kilter has its comforts.
