The reason why I asked Seekah if I could direct and star in this video is because I got tagged a lot in it on Instagram and when I listened to it, it really connected to what my struggle was and what my addictions were putting my family through. I believe that this video will connect with a lot of lads going through similar struggles and what their families have to deal with. Most annoying thing is how little views this has🤦🏼♂️ like this represents so many and it’s only on these views😕 I’ve been clean from coke for over a year and watching this now clean it all makes sense it’s mad how that was the normal life we lived. Congratulations to anyone staying sober or even if your not and your trying to I hope you get there! Addiction sucks and there’s no shame in asking for help ❤
Don't have to be on the lash every night to be addicted, it's when you just can't say no, no matter how frequent or infrequent. Stay strong anyone out there trying to help themselves.

It’s crazy to think in this moment when your anxious, you can feel your heart beating out of your chest, your praying to a god you usually don’t think exists asking him not to kill but you even still feel alone. There is a full generation of young men who struggle and feel this every single week “I know I can’t win this game I’m in but nothings stopping me from playing” this lyric just sums it up perfectly because even though you know it’s wrong and it’s gone to far your at it again and again. I spent the best part of 10 years doing this and in those ten years I’ve lost my best friend to coke I’ve lost relationships I’ve lied to family but I still put a smile on my face for the lads in the boozer - my “friends”. I’ve been sober 3 weeks now and I realise they’re not friends. And I just like many of you have spent years with these lads who don’t get me wrong are just like me good lads deep down but we need to learn to put ourselves first moving forward. We need to build a generation of lads who support each other and guide each other not lads who are best mates for a night in a kitchen then are never to be seen again we need mates for life. And I believe dapper and this movement can help us change not only ourselves but this whole game we have all played for many years.

Few months ago I was getting tagged in this song loads, then I listened to it and it really connected with me. It’s the sesh.
I contacted Seekah and asked if he’d let me direct & feature in the music video as I really wanted to share it with my audience, it struck a chord with what my struggle was and what my addictions were putting my family through.
I believe that this video will connect with a lot of lads going through similar things and what their families have to deal with, not being able to say no, regretting it, being stuck in that cycle.

12k views is actually insane! Im 29 and I was in this life from the age of 16 … I now have a family, and have luckily escaped this cycle, but it’s a huge part of uk society right now, and it doesn’t get mentioned enough!

Been me on meny diffrent nights...I stopped sniffing gear and now can drink and not want it....thats taken me the best part of 8 years but worth it...nomore morning anxiety and mood crashes
Absolutely brilliant, and so true, every bit🙌I got me 90 days clean and sober again yesterday after a few slips. I'll just keep trying until I get it. That was defo me in that video every weekend on the sesh for 3 or 4 days, missing work all the time and ruining relationships, didn't give a fuck at the time. Thank god I'm able to be a good dad to my 2 year old daughter today🙏

Oh my how much I can relate to this guy I did all this with my mates thankfully I reeled it in but sadly a couple took their own lives. Don’t get me wrong we still have a blow out now and then but we grow up at some point but sadly some can’t walk away from the madness 💙

Fairplay to dapper for doing this video must have been hard for him, also what an actor he captured the emotions of anxiety, self hatred, paranoia, coming down etc perfectly could really see my old-self in him. @@adeebiqbal5297 To be honest I would say it took me a year to not crave the sesh but I guess everyone is different. My advice is to keep persevering, you will never wake up in the morning thinking I wish I got on the sesh last night, but the opposite is true.

@@menacetosobrietypodcast yes mate, 100%. We’ve all been here, 1 million times not me anymore thank God ….. 10 years free from all that completed London Marathon last year as well. If you’re on the hamster wheel of doom, this is exactly what it’s like.

About how I used to be before my son was born ! If this is you just know you can get through this and there is more to life than a sore head and a empty wallet every weekend ! It took for my mrs to get pregnant for me to sort it out ! The Friday bug would get me and that went into Saturday and kept going to Sunday until the alarm hit Monday morning then it’s back to work . Just know you can do it !
