TransLink Falconry Project

TransLink is piloting a falcon project to humanely deal with its long-standing pigeon problem. Pigeons pose a health and safety risk for our customers because they defecate in stations and set off guideway intrusion alarms.
For six weeks, a company (called Raptor Ridge) will bring in a falcon and a hawk to scare away pigeons. The handlers will walk through (and around) six of our most problematic stations with a hawk and a falcon tethered to their arms. ^sk
