Respectfully, lightbulbs did only last two years when we were growing up because they were incandescent bulbs. In the 2010s, they started being replaced by LED bulbs, which last much longer. Now, incandescent bulbs are pretty much banned, which is a win for the environment!
Loved this video so much. 🖤🖤 So sad I can't watch the documentary because it's on Netflix and I've refused to pay for Netflix for the last 5 years. I really hope the doc helps to show people the truth of all those companies! They need to be held accountable! I feel like it should be illegal that companies aren't held accountable for the trash they make.
It can be hard to know someone's orientation and if they're single or dating! I just ask 🤷🏽♀️ I usually lead with something like "I'd like to get to know you more, are you seeing anyone?" I've also never had someone approach me and ask me out or for my number. Maybe Kelsey experiences this bc she's so stunning, ppl might be intimidated!
Timely video. I did buy some things but not through Amazon. I am slightly new bisexual (came out in my late 30s)and I don’t know if a woman I like is interested in me. Thank you for sharing this.
Just to rant about tipping for a minute: I need to know what the moral etiquette is for tipping in certain situations because it makes me wildly uncomfortable when I don't/barely interact with the person I'm tipping. For example, There's a cheesecake place locally- it has no seating, it's just a tiny room with a counter, and you speak all of 5 words to the employee behind the counter and they hand you your little jar of to-go cheesecake and cash you out. They had a tipping option "recommendation" of 18%. This person isn't making the thing like a barista, nor are they going through the degree of social/phsyical labour like a waitress, or even a person behind the counter in a bakeshop who gives suggestions etc, or a cashier- who sadly, we've agreed not to tip as a culture even though they work HARD. In these situations, I honestly feel I shouldn't have to tip because they are doing the equivalent work of a vending machine, but I do anyway with 10% because I don't want to be a non-tipping monster. There's even a local used clothing shop that had a tipping option. As a very low-income person, it genuinely makes me not want to eat out or try these local small-business/casual places. It's sad because I used to shop more local but over time I've found myself shopping online on big box stores in part to avoid paying tips for buying clothes or snacks...I just can't afford anything if I have to tip everyone. I feel like I'm part of the problem but I don't know what the solution is, other than for businesses to pay their employees.
The concept of planned obsolescence makes me so mad. I remember my husband telling me he was going to upgrade my phone because our contract was up. But at the time I had that phone that flips open with the full keyboard inside, and it was only about a year and a half old with nothing wrong with it. Of course there wasn't another version either! I wanted MY phone, not the giant screen that everyone was changing to!
If you loved the doc I cannot recommend “Consumed” by Aja Barber more! It goes in depth into this, and Aja has been a champion of this issue for a long time! She deserves her flowers 💐

Little free libraries are great (free) options and I'm sure there are plenty good ones in LA!
