- I recently switched over to my Louis Vuitton Speedy Bandouliere 25 and realized there was another quality issue with this piece. I always try to keep my bags and items in pristine condition. I also rotate my bags often, so there is no way this issue was due to wear and tear.

Awesome! I ordered a khaki colored strap like yours to help make it a little more summer friendly. I’m too afraid to have this bag in damier azur. I also ordered the insert and then picked out a base shaper in case I want that. I’m so excited! Your videos are always so helpful 😊

Wow, that was better service than I expected. Glad it worked out for you! My speedyb25 from 2016 has canvas cracks up and down the length of the zipper on both sides. They’re about 1/4” inch long. LV called it wear and tear, but they can see my bag is cared for and not abused by the overall condition. The only part that looked bad is the cheap hardware they use.
Oh no! Did they offer to repair or exchange this? I really hope they were able to fix this. For the amount we pay, they should give you a new one.
No, they called it wear and tear and said there’s nothing they can do. The bag was 4 years old when I noticed it and I guess that’s too old for them to do something. They said they’d never heard of this happening, but posts on the purse forum indicate it’s not an isolated incident and some have said they received a replacement bag.

Thank you for this video. I'm actually thinking of purchasing the Speedy B 25 in monogram and came upon your video. Really appreciate the review and I was really impressed w the customer service you received from your virtual SA. I have a few boutiques in my area, but often I just don't feel like making the drive so I end up ordering most of my pieces online. Given your SA was so helpful, would you be able to share their POC info? I'd love to re-establish a relationship w an SA. I had a great one but the boutique was in Neimans and they closed it down sometime during COVID and I haven't found a new one to work with. No worries though if you can't share their POC info. Again, appreciate your video!

I went to Louis Vuitton recently just to purchase Speedy 25B. The quality is just funny. The inside zip is matte and there was like a dot on it. The bag looks like the second hand bag. It’s just not the same anymore 💔

Will the new strap be the shiny leather or the new matte DE leather? Also, you can fix the lifting with a little E6000 glue - it's a flexible glue and if if doesn't work (which it will!), you can pick it off with some tweezers once it's dry.

@@SomethingLatte I prefer the matte leather, myself. I've got the pochette accessories in the shiny leather and my speedy b 25 in the matte leather. The matte is less stiff imo:).

It’s such a good bag because it’s care free and holds a ton! I’m still using it, hard to switch out of it because it’s so convenient. Totally worth the price 😊 🥰
I have a 2014 artsy and the monogramming is pealing off. It looks like my bag has dandruff! It’s not from use - I’ve barely used it. And I have much older bags that look fine.
Awful that these bags have so many quality issues! The speedy is such a classic but I just can’t get myself to pay for the current quality. Im thinking of getting the Celine Boston in the cuir triomphe canvas - have you seen/tried it on? Curious about the texture and sizing of the Celine canvas Boston bags!
I been loving Celine bags and I especially love the Triomphe designs. The Boston canvas is so pretty! However I’ve seen a video on how the handle broke after a few months 😳 But Celine will fix it as long as you bought it from a boutique.

But I feel like I am done with LV unless I want to get more SLGs or other accessories. But bags, once you own classics I feel like that's enough!
Oh no! I have the same bag.. it is only 3years old and I used less than 10 times and im very very careful too! I noticed all the hardware was tarnishing so bad!! This is so annoying when u are careful and this happens :(

How do you think wearing speedy these days? Do you still saw people wear it? I still wear my speedy 25 and I love it so much, also I prefer to wear it rather than to buy the toiletry 26 (poche nm) as I don’t have it, from the side it looks similar like square but speedy is a real bag, having handles by its own.
I still love this bag! I use it a lot because it fits a lot but still light to carry 😊

WOAH my tmouth literally dropped open when I saw that crack!! It looks like it was supposed to be sewn there and it was supposed to be sewn. Yeah, that shouldn't happen on a $1800 bag.

I love Speedy Bandoliers, I got a 30 in DE from 2021 and I noticed some wrinkling at the end of the straps. Maybe they're trying to make the DE straps more malleable bec it's known to crack🤔. My vachetta straps from the monogram and Azur are all soft and I don't see them breaking for sure. I conditioned my DE straps though and plan to do so regularly I hope it will help it from cracking in the future

I have speedy 25 and the bandoulier 25 I liked it but I end up selling them because I cannot stand how slouchy it can get without the inserts I do not like putting the inserts too because its too bulky haha love and hate relationship lol
I totally agree! I can’t stand when it’s too slouchy but I don’t like the super structured look either. I’m glad this nylon insert is slightly soft so it has just enough structure. Thanks so much for watching 💕

LV quality is going down but the price keeps going up!
Sorry to hear about your strap . The new Damier Ebene speedys have a different kind of leather they use now than they did back in 2016 . It’s more pliable so I don’t think you will have the same issue hopefully . However the leather is also no longer shiny like it was in 2016 . I had the 2016 DE speedy b just like you , however I realized I’m not a fan of the speedy and have since sold mine . I actually don’t care for the look of the new more matted leather they are now using with DE bags . Let us know if you notice the difference in the leather they are using now vs the leather on your 2016 version ! Btw love the strap option you found on Amazon ,it looks so cute ! Love a bag that has the option to switch out straps ,makes it so much more versatile ! Thanks for sharing . 🥰🥰
It’s it crazy how a little strap can change the look of the entire bag 🙌. I had no idea about the DE being less shiny now! I’m definitely going to be observing this next time I’m in a boutique. I like the shiny look of the older models. I wish LV would be more consistent with their quality overall. Thanks so much for sharing 💕

An sa should be able to have that replaced. That shouldn’t of happen. It is a quality issue, not normal wear & tear.✨

Good thing the tear isn’t on the outside part which is more visible. In a way, I’m glad it was the strap and not the speedy because then you would have to repair the bag if anything. Thanks for sharing!!
